"don't leave home without it!" 3/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Heli Pro 16L
  • Pros:  tons of space, tons of pockets, comfy

Experience:   ever since i got my bag i haven't gone a day of boarding without it. it holds all my essentials plus some! if you're a picky boarder like me - i bring my hot and cold weather gloves, fleece, baselayers, snacks, locks, ect. then this bag will have space for everything you need and enough space for you to throw in your jacket if it gets too hot. i've also taken a few nasty spills and this bag has definitely cushioned a few of my falls and it takes a beating but looks and works as well as day 1.

"Awesome Mountain Bag/Terrible School Bag" 7/10/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Heli Pro 16L
  • Pros:  Lots of space, Fabric goggle pouch, Looks awesome
  • Cons:  The waist strap,

Experience:   I bought this bag to be used as a school/boarding bag. If you are going to buy this for school, I wouldn't. The waist strap is pretty big and there are lots of straps hanging off of it. It looks really wierd walking to class with your bag strapped to your stomach and its really uncomfortable just tucking it behind your back. You can't remove it either since its attached. Its technically not a school bag, so its basically my fault, but I still know other people will probably buy this bag with those intentions. As far as a mountain bag, its awesome. Lots of space, comfortable, little pouches for everything you could think of. Keep in mind you need to purchase the water bladder seperately.

"Perfect bag for the mtn" 3/10/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Heli Pro 16L
  • Pros:  lightweight, comfortable, great features
  • Cons:  more pockets!, water seepage,

Experience:   I was thinking about buying this bag for those long stays on the mtn and was worried about riding with a pack due to discomfort, heavy etc. I've rode with the 16L and it's perfect. It's comfortable and really lightweight. I'll always ride with this pack now. I bought a camelpack hydration system and it works perfectly with this bag, definitely recommend it. Some cons: The shovel pocket could use another pocket on the inside, to keep track of smaller items. There's really only 2 main pockets, I'm sure they could add more. Also there was some slight water seepage in the shovel pocket when I got stuck in some powder. Other than that.. a really good bag, definitely worth $45.

"Awsome Day Bag!" 2/13/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Heli Pro 16L
  • Pros:  Very roomy and durrable thus far. The fleece lined camera pocket is great for taking your camera along to get some shots of you or friends riding. I LOVE the water bladder space, Its great for those days when you get thirsty but dont want to take time away from riding to go pay $3 or more for a bottle of water at the lodge (Just wish one was included for free, you gotta buy one seperate) You can carry an extra coat inside for when it gets colder or store your current jacket for when things heat up.
  • Cons:  None

Experience:   This bag is the best one I have ever had. I keep everything from my camera for getting some video of me and friends, to a tune kit, to an extra pair of goggles in this thing... The board carrier is very comfrotable even though I dont really use it often its very nice to have. It has the space for it all and takes care of your gear so it doesnt get dinged up. Buy one if your gonna spend any long periods of time on the mountain, you wont regret it.

"Awesome BackPack!!" 12/23/2008
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Heli Pro 16L
  • Pros:  Awesome backpack, lots of room, more than you would expect, I have stuffed this thing to the brim and had enough clothes for a week! It is also applicable for a water pack, so that's always helpful up on the mountain, really comfy straps, goggle pouch, water bottle pouch, pretty much the best pack I've ever owned, I even use it for school and it works great!
  • Cons:  Absolutely none.

Experience:   This backpack is so awesome!

"tear up the mountain with this pack" 12/4/2008
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Heli Pro 16L
  • Pros:  - Great pack, comes in a variety of styles - Waterproof - Secure straps (chest & waist clips) - Pouches are nice and roomy for boarding accessories - Insulated hydro bladder sleeve (ordering one asap) - Good for Skiers or Boarders (straps for vert board carry, diagonal ski carry, or a flap for horizontal board carry) - Water bottle pouch... i don't use it though. Just chuck a bunch of 'em in the main compartment with some tools, etc.
  • Cons:  None that I can think of.

Experience:   Awesome pack. If you're a multi-winter-sports person, great pack for you.
