"great all around bag" 3/25/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Heli Pro - 20L
  • Pros:  holds your board, waterproof camera pocket, chest and waist straps
  • Cons:  need more compartments (organize), NO bladder ,

Experience:   Great bag for riding and biking. My buddies are jealous when we hike it and i put my board in back of it. The flap that holds the board acts a butt pad when sitting down for lunch and also has cushion for your back. The bag has 3 main compartments, fleeced goggle, main compartment with the netted pocket to put your hydro bag in and the front one under the goggle pocket. The insulated zip up hydro line on the shoulder strap is nice. The bag needs more compartments in main pockets to keep things organized and maybe a compartment on the shoulder strap for your phone.

"Heli PRO!!" 4/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Heli Pro - 20L
  • Pros:  Waterproof, Hydration Pack, Pockets and Board holders
  • Cons:  Needs hydration Pack?,

Experience:   When i first got this bag, i thought it looked a bit big. As soon as i slipped it on at the slopes I realised it was one of the best purchases ever!! It can carry heaps of stuff and can even store a hydration pack and camera. It has straps for my board when i have to hike it a little bit and is pretty light. Love the Bag, have to recommend it!!

"Well priced but larger backpack." 4/4/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Heli Pro - 20L
  • Pros:  Very well priced., Many features.,
  • Cons:  Not a smallish riding backpack.,

Experience:   I bought the one in white which looks super. For the price, it is a great riding backpack with many useful features. It has the lined goggle pocket, a large main compartment, the insulated water line. It is not as small as I thought a heli backpack would be but then I should have ordered the 16L one I guess if I wanted something smaller. Overall though it is super spacious for a smallish daily riding backpack at the resorts. Recommended.

"excellent..." 3/19/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Heli Pro - 20L
  • Pros:  Tons of pockets ,
  • Cons:  none that i Can see,

Experience:   I just picked up this backpack at the ridiculous 70% off. A great purchase as it has twice the features of my AK backpack. Cool things: Lots of pockets, waterproof camera pocket, fleece lined goggle, plus a cool side zip pocket that flips open to hold a water bottle...Also has a waist strap, insulated hydration sleeve and a vertical and horizontal board carry. Plenty of room in the main pocket for drinks, layers, etc. + it has all the backcountry/probe/shovel sleeves(LOL my backcounty is the backside of vail) My ak backpack has half the pockets and features and is also smaller. Dakine is clearly the way to go in packs and at this price, you should surely pick one up.

"HELO PRO" 2/17/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Heli Pro - 20L
  • Pros:  spacious, practical, looks great

Experience:   I take my heli-pro with me almost every trip i go on. It's relatively compact, it has lots of tiny pouches to keep the ETC stuff in. you can add one of those bags of water and run a straw along the straps. you can hold snowboards, skis, ice picks, etc etc. there's room for a lot of stuff in here. basically, this thing owns.
