"Perfect bag for traveling" 3/7/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Low Roller Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  Well Padded, Spacious, Waterproof lining

Experience:   I've had this bag for a bit, but hadn't done a ton of real traveling until lately. Packed it up for a long flight to BC and it held my board, boots, bindings, goggles and tools without a single hitch. Kept everything safe and it was all in exactly the condition that I packed it in. There's plenty of room inside for my jacket, pants, gloves and anything else I could need while on a trip to the mountains. Highly recommend this bag, but if you need to carry more than a single board or maybe even 2, go for the high roller instead.

  • Name: Dakine Low Roller Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  Light weight, Ample storage,
  • Cons:  Could use a little more construction,

Experience:   Here is what I can fit in the 165: One 155 cm board One 157 cm board Two pairs of boots One pair of bindings One Helmet There is also room more room in the two pockets and main cargo space to stuff gloves, beanies, and other items like that. Weight with the aforementioned gear: 40 pounds. Good bag for the price ... could use a little more structure throughout the bag...the 165 is really long so will be a little hard to maneuver...but with the 165 could most likely not fit my helmet. Without helmet could get another pair of bindings and another board.

"Great for Travel" 10/23/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Low Roller Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  Quality Construction, Price,

Experience:   I use this bag for airline travel. For me it works perfectly. I can take 2 boards bindings and all the clothing I need for a week. I carry my boots in my carry on. I am able to stay under the 50 lb restrictions with this bag. Nice wheels great at the airport and lodging.

"Slow Rollin'" 10/21/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Low Roller Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  perfect for short trips, light bag weight, higher wheel clearance
  • Cons:  not suitable for multiple sets of gear,

Experience:   I first bought the low roller from Dakine to take with me on a trip to whistler. I needed a bag that could hold 2 sets of gear and some clothes since I didn't want to pay extra baggage fees. The Low roller is a great bag and reeks of quality. The wheels are sturdy and don't seem to have any trouble if I had to roll it on surfaces other than smooth airport tile. The bag itself is lighter but ended up not suiting my needs in terms of space for my week long trip. The high roller has significantly more space but also weighs almost 15lbs which makes the amount of gear it holds unusable when you get close to the 50lbs limit for airplanes. I just packed smartly with my carry on and ended up trading this in for a high roller. If you travel lightly or not too frequently and only need to stash 1 set of gear and with clothes, or 2 sets of gear with no clothes then this might be your bag. I also checked out the Burton wheelie gig bag but I figured the low clearance of the wheels might make it difficult traveling over snow covered sidewalks.

"for plane travel" 10/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Low Roller Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  with weels, can fit snowboard with boots and all clothes, perfect for plane travel
  • Cons:  not easy to carry, no shoulder strap, the smallest size is to big for small snowboard

Experience:   I was too tired to carry it between drop baggage counter and taxi. And it's too uncomfortable use stairs and elevators. But it can fit all stuff including snowboard with bindings and boots, and all clothes and shoes which you need in during whole journey

"Do you travel?" 6/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Low Roller Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  loads of space, fits all your gear,
  • Cons:  not the cheapest,

Experience:   Do you travel for snow? If so you need wheels, lots of space and board protection. This bag has all three. I bought this bag and I'm very happy, I only have one setup but can fit all of my gear and boarding clothing in here. With airlines charging extra for bags you need to get value for money. If you travel by air for snow, don't buy anything less than this, if not, go for a shoulder bag
