"THESE ARE THE WORST GLOVES EVER!!!" 11/14/2009
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Mustang
  • Pros:  THEY LOOK COOL,
  • Cons:  THEY ARE NOT WARM, THEY RIPPED IN THE FIRST MONTH I OWNED THEM, MY HANDS WHERE SOAKED

Experience:   When i first bought these gloves i thought they where the greatest gloves ever until i started riding in them. they first pair i owned where completely ruined by the end of the season and i sent them to dakine and told them they where the biggest piece of crap and i want my money back or a new pair. they sent me a new pair and then the same thing happened to those, they where destroyed again. after almost every run i would have to take the gloves off to drain the water out of them. i would literaly squeeze the glove and there would be a puddle on the floor of the lodge. they also shrunk and the leather got all hard after keeping them by the fire to warm em up. i wish i could put up a picture of them on the website to show you what they look like now and you would not ever even considering think about buying them. the people that gave these gloves good ratings are crazy or they haven't even gone riding in them yet. i would never reccomend these gloves to anyone.

haha you know leather is NOT waterproof right? These are park gloves, dont touch the snow with them, especially if its wet snow :P I have leather park gloves with no insulation at all and wear them always unless its really wet or colder then minus 10. In that case use goretex thicker gloves :)

"Meh ok" 2/19/2010

  • Name: Dakine Mustang
  • Pros:  Look ok,
  • Cons:  wet, cold,

Experience:   It's OK for spring when you don't mind your hands getting wet. I would say good for protecting your hands but that's about it. i already had to duct tape the tips of my fingers. Definitely don't plan on riding with these in 32DEG F or less.

"careful what you buy" 1/26/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Mustang
  • Pros:  biker glove look,
  • Cons:  water absorbant, not all that warm,

Experience:   These are straight up leather gloves. They are not meant for the hardcore rider. They are not really meant for the mountain. The leather sucks up all the moisture it touches. So unless you plan on never touching snow, then these will not work for you. They work fine as everyday gloves. But on the slopes, you hands will be drenched and soaked within an hour.
