"Dakine Pilot" 4/7/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Dakine Pilot
  • Pros:  Size , Water Pack capable, Durable
  • Cons:  Too small to carry a board,

Experience:   I got it too late in the season to use on the mtn, but Ive been using it for wakeboarding. It has two main compartments, the front one has a great waterproof compartment that I use for money, keys, phone, etc. Its the perfect size bag for me, not huge and bulky, but big enough to carry the essentials. It is ready for the water pack, but you have to purchase it seperately. It fits a change of clothes, towel, a spot for sunglasses, and it has way more buckles then I even know what to do with. It is going to be a perfect bag for snowboarding as its not too bulky and has the waist and chest buckles. I need an instructional book to figure out what some buckles are for. Too small to carry a board, but thats what you have to free hands for.

"DaKine backpacks are awesome" 7/17/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Pilot
  • Pros:  price, cool design, sturdy construction
  • Cons:  none,

Experience:   It's tough to beat a DaKine backpack. They cost half of comparable Burton backpacks, are better made and have a better design. I've used them for school, work, biking, boarding, etc. and they all still look great. I would recommend them to everyone!

"Dakine Pilot" 5/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Pilot
  • Pros:  Has waterproof compartments, Can carry camelback, slim profile for ski lifts
  • Cons:  too many buckles and straps, can't carry that much,

Experience:   Perfect for a day trip where all you need is food, water, and maybe a change of clothes. I had to buy a bladder for it and installing it was a pain until I took off the hose and threaded it through the strap end. You might not be able to find where the camelback hose is supposed to enter the backpack because it's pretty small but it's there. The slim profile doesn't interfere with balance which is great while boarding. The one thing I don't like is all the straps which I tied up with rubberbands to keep them from flapping around.

"Good for Ski Bus trips" 3/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Pilot
  • Pros:  a lot of pockets, roomy,
  • Cons:  bigger than expected,

Experience:   I bought this bag for a ski bus trip. It's a little bigger than what I needed but that extra space might come in handy one of these days. It felt weired riding the lift while wearing this but none of the straps got caught when unloading. Cant complain much when I got it for about $25.

"Great all purpose" 6/14/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Pilot
  • Pros:  Make quality , waterproof, low centre of gravity
  • Cons:  Hydration pack would be good with it, -, -

Experience:   I am using this backpack also for tramping. Low centre of gravity and flat shape make it very comfortable to carry around. Excellent quality item - durable and solid. Holds moisture out well. Ski mounting part is OK though - not very easy to use. Ski poles compartment is...I cannot stick them in there. Overall Good as a back pack, OK as ski carrier.

"Great bag" 10/13/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Pilot
  • Pros:  Sits flat against back, not too big, not too small, Has waterproof compartment,
  • Cons:  Not waterproof at the bottom,

Experience:   Bought this bag for my husband and he loves it. He wears it all day on the slopes and back country. He hates sipping water through a plastic tube so he is happy that the hydration system is optional. He says it is really comfortable to wear. And it looks the part.

"Wicked Pack" 10/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Pilot
  • Pros:  Lightweight, really strong,
  • Cons:  Can't carry board,

Experience:   I needed a bag to carry my stuff when I was going up to the mountain so I borrowed my friends. It was great because it was light enough to hold on to my things without feeling like I had too much on my back, and after taking a few beatings from my friend and I, it's still in good shape! Definite buy.
