"The Best Stomp Pad" 1/6/2012
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Pyramid Stud
  • Pros:  Looks Great, Traction, Sticks
  • Cons:  None,

Experience:   One of the best stomp pads out there. Sticks to the board good and does not fall out. I've had this on my board for 2 seasons and none have fall out. Traction is great, very grippy on my boots. Just make sure you clean the surface real good before you stick them on. Best thing of all is they look awesome on my board, not like the other pads out there made out of plastic and looks like a welcome mat.

"great stomps" 1/29/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Pyramid Stud
  • Pros:  stayed on, customize design,
  • Cons:  wasnt that grippy,

Experience:   l got these here when l bought my boyfriend board with it. l liked the point where l can customize it to whatever design l want. l made it into a diamond shape but your creativity can be endless. it is still staying on as of right now. doing very well compared to the old neff one. One thing l dont like is that it doesnt grip as well as pastic ones or even the burton stock one. l would live with it though, would buy again, maybe a different color though... black would be nice

"Just for looks" 1/15/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Pyramid Stud
  • Pros:  Sticks well,

Experience:   This stomp pad is only for looks. My boot still slips off when I use it. Ill be going back to a rubber stomp pad for my board. It does look better on your board than other pads.

"Decent value" 1/5/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Pyramid Stud
  • Pros:  Stay in place, Look decent,
  • Cons:  Hurts if you decide to take a knee on it (lol),

Experience:   I used these studs on my Custom V-rocker. Every board I've had previously I didn't need a stomp pad... however, I find the Burton topsheet super slippery. They were easy to apply and stayed in place for more than than a season now.

"Best Stomp Pad Period" 1/4/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Pyramid Stud
  • Pros:  Looks Good, Lasts Forever, No Slippage
  • Cons:  Pain to put on,

Experience:   I have used these Dakine Pyramid studs on my last 3 boards. I have yet to have one fall off. Because the studs are stuck on individually it will take some time to figure out the layout you want to use and measuring it to make sure everything is centered and lined up. Once you have them on they work great. Although a previous reviewer states that they get covered in snow I still never had my foot slip out when skating around or coming off the lift. The best parts of this is that it will not cover up your board graphics and you can use your creativity to lay out your own designs. These are definitely my favorite go to stomp pads everytime I get a new board. Just take a little time and patience to put these on correctly the first time and you will never have to think about them ever again.

"Most Versatile Stomp Pad" 12/1/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Pyramid Stud
  • Pros:  Very versatile, Won't fall off, Durable
  • Cons:  Traction, Install time,

Experience:   I bought these pyramid studs in black to go along with my Burton Custom X. Naturally, I oriented the 9 studs in an X. A few comments: be sure to follow the instructions and install these things using a blow dryer on a clean, warm, and dry board. I've had mine on my board for a couple of years now and not a single one has fallen off. If you're a perfectionist like me, it'll take you quite some time to install these things. I just used a ruler and made sure the lines making up the X were straight. It also helps so that you can get them evenly spaced. One tip, tape the ruler to the board so you have two hands to drop a stud in place. Once it's stuck, you really don't want to move it. I'd also recommend leaving a stack of textbooks on top of the pad for a while (I did this overnight) before using it to make sure they're stuck. As far as use goes, they really don't get packed up with any snow and ice, and are easy to clear with a kick. Unfortunately, the minimal surface (contact) area provides for only decent traction, but not great. Overall, I'd recommend this set if you're looking for something very versatile that you can customize in your own way and rely on to last (the metal doesn't wear out like plastic or rubber stomp pads will), but don't expect it to be a top performer when it comes to traction.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Pyramid Stud
  • Pros:  doesn't cover up graphics,
  • Cons:  comes off easily ,

Experience:   I liked how the diamonds didn't cover up my graphics, but it was a little annoying trying to get them on. They also get covered up with snow easily.

"Dakine Pyramid" 9/14/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Pyramid Stud
  • Pros:  Functional, Durable, Looks cool
  • Cons:  Takes a while to put on board,

Experience:   I've had these on my board for a year. None of the studs have fallen off, but I did take time to follow the directions and heat up the sticky pad and the board with a hair dryer before sticking them on. I love the graphic on my board and didn't want to cover it with a stomp pad. One thing I like about these studs is you can arrange them however you want on your board - I actually only used five of the nine studs in a pattern that doesn't obscure the graphic. They're a little less grippy than the rubber stomp pad I had on my old board, but they have worked fine in all conditions. Really the only negative is that they take a while to put on your board in comparison to just sticking on a pad.
