"Dakine Team Mission Backpack 2011 " 10/12/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Team Mission Backpack
  • Pros:  Straps your Snowboard on the Back, Fleece Lined Goggle Pocket, Adjustability w/ Waist Belt Straps
  • Cons:  Snowboard can sag when strapped,

Experience:   I've been stoked on the backpack since the day I got it. I usually store gloves, beanies, and goggles, with outerwear in the pack, so I can just grab it and go and have everything I need. Makes great for traveling, even used it for a rope bag on a canyoneering trip in Zion(very durable). Looks sick, durable, lots of pockets, outside of your boots, will hold all your snowboard essentials. Works great for backcountry, urban, and travel.

  • Cons:  Could use a little more space,

Experience:   I got this for my school back pack this year and it still looks like new. My other backpacks from other years would e destroyed by now but this bag holds up very well. It is comfortable on your back and shoulders. All around just a great bag.

"Great Backpack" 5/12/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Team Mission Backpack
  • Pros:  Asthetics, Strong and durable, Can carry board vertically
  • Cons:  Lots of straps that can potentially get caught , Could use a little more storage space ,

Experience:   I got this backpack at the beginning of the 2010-2011 season and I am so glad that I did. This was the first season out of my 13 years of riding that I did alot of riding with a pack. I needed a good looking, well made pack from a reputable company for my days at big resorts on my week-long trips. On those days I always get either really hungry or thirsty or desperately need to re-apply sunblock throughout the day and thus, I needed something to carry those essentials. Obviously, as most of us who push our riding to the limit do, I took a few heavy spills this season-some of which were on icey terrain. The backpack handled those falls better than my body and showed no signs of damage let alone wear. One of the really cool aspects of this pack is that it allows for you to vertically carry your snowboard either at the beginning or end of the day or if you need to do a hiking section in the backcountry. I used that function multiple times and it worked perfectly. The one concern that I had was with the multiple straps (belly and chest) that it might make for more chance of getting caught in a lift or something. Luckily that never happened but I have seen it happen to others. All in all, this backpack looks awesome, it performs it's function perfectly, and it's really durable. I recommend this backpack and Dakine in general.
