"works hate the shape" 12/22/2011

  • Name: Dakine Triangle Snowboard Scraper
  • Pros:  just a normal plastic scraper,
  • Cons:  triangular shape,

Experience:   I wax a lot and this does the job. Dulling all you need is sand paper to sharpen it. removing the wax off it like any other scraper i'd say is annoying. The one downfall to this is the shape. It makes it hard to apply pressure and scrape the wax. I prefer rectangular scrapes. I bought a rectangular scraper and sold this one or gave it away.

"Ergonomic disaster" 2/19/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Triangle Snowboard Scraper
  • Pros:  Does its' job,
  • Cons:  Easily dulls, Difficult shape to hold,

Experience:   This scraper is terrible. The triangle shape of the scraper makes it difficult to hold and difficult to apply pressure, which then makes it a longer process during wax scraping. The scraper does it's job but definitely not the most efficient compared to the alternatives. The Dakine 10 inch scraper works much better but both of these scrapers face the same problem in which it dulls easily. I find the Dakine metal scraper to be a much better tool, however, it should be used cautiously as the metal edges and corners can potentially damage the base.

  • Name: Dakine Triangle Snowboard Scraper
  • Pros:  Nifty Scraper, Cheap price, Cool design
  • Cons:  Dulls very quickly, Wax gets constantly stuck in the scraper = messy, takes alot of work to get all the wax off board

Experience:   This scraper is not that good in my opinion. It takes forever to get all the wax off and when you finally do, the wax is either stuck everywhere on the scraper, or its all over the floor. But if you want a scraper for a cheap price, then get this one.

  • Name: Dakine Triangle Snowboard Scraper
  • Pros:  shape,
  • Cons:  Short life,

Experience:   Not bad when brand new but after a few uses the edges get dull and its a pain. The metal scraper dakine makes is much better than this one as far as life.

"works okay" 9/8/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Triangle Snowboard Scraper
  • Pros:  works well when new, 8 edges to work with,
  • Cons:  not long enough, dulls fast,

Experience:   it works great when it was new. just a few scrapes got the job done. but the edges gets dull very quickly. i ended up filing the edges sharp before i use every time now. the width is shorter than the base... i prefer ones that are wider than the base to give it a more consistence scrape.

"triangle scraper" 7/27/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Triangle Snowboard Scraper
  • Pros:  scrapes while new,
  • Cons:  edges dull very quickly, useless when dull,

Experience:   If you go with a dakine scraper you would be better off going with the rectangular scraper. At least you will have 8 edges you can use then. The scraper works very well while it is brand new. It will take you probably 2 sides to scrape 1 board. Only 4 boards for like 12 bucks (what they were going for when I bought mine) is not a very good deal. I am gonna try a different company's product this year and hope for it to work better than this.
