"Dakine scraper" 1/13/2012
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine 10in Snowboard Scraper
  • Pros:  Scrapes,
  • Cons:  Edges dull quickly, Expensive, Useable only couple times

Experience:   I am disappointed with the value of this product! The product itself is good but I could have just went to lowes and bought a plastic plaster smoother and got the same results for only 2.00 investment. I would not recomment this unless you have money to waste! This product might get the job done the first 3 times you scrape your snowboard, but after that, the edges are completely dulled out. Its plastic and i really dont like these scrapers at all, its horrible, sure, the first 3 times... but really, itd be nice to pay this much and not have to worry about dull edges after only 3 times... Big disappointment in Dakine and i would not recommend these to anyone unless theyre using it 3 times or less and are going to be finished with it.

"Good for a short while" 9/28/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine 10in Snowboard Scraper
  • Pros:  Wide, Sharp to start,
  • Cons:  Gets Dull!, Plastic =/,

Experience:   With my own makeshift board waxing business I wanted to pick up a wide scraper that would be able to just take out all the wax with ease.. It worked for about 5 boards then it got dull. Once it got dull having to sharpen it EVERY time you wanted to wax a board again was getting annoying and the blue chips of plastic were finding there way into my boards base. I loved it when I first got it, since then I've moved onto the Dakine Metal Scraper and I'm much happier

"Great overall scraper" 2/19/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine 10in Snowboard Scraper
  • Pros:  Ease of use, Doesn't damage board, Easy to hold
  • Cons:  Dulls quickly,

Experience:   This scraper is overall a good scraper as it's easy to hold and you can really scrape deep to remove wax. It won't damage your board since it's made of plastic. After a few uses the edges does get dull but it can easily be sharpened with sandpaper. It is a much better scraper than triangle scrapers that are commonly sold. If you can get the metal scraper, that's another good scraper to have in your kit. However, if I had to chose one, I'd go with this one because of it's low risk of damaging the board.

"Ok" 12/23/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine 10in Snowboard Scraper
  • Pros:  Wont damage board,
  • Cons:  Dulls quickly,

Experience:   Does the job initially, but will dull quickly. I guess that's the nature of any plastic scraper though. Recommended perhaps for your first attempt at waxing your own board, as less chance of doing damage than a metal scraper.

"good scraper" 8/23/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine 10in Snowboard Scraper
  • Pros:  sharp, wide,

Experience:   Good sharp scraper, the width of it is very good, can scraper a lot of the board at a time, or a little bit at a time by using the other end. If it gets blunt you can just sharpen it easily with a file. Overall great scraper don't know how it could be improved.
