Sierra Says: The NXT-AT is a high-end all-mountain freestyle binding that is versatile enough for any type of terrain. The NXT-ATSE has taken this configuration and put a special edition graphic on it, and lighter ratchets, to keep all riders stoked. The highback has been configured this year with 33% glass-filled nylon to enhance its response for throwing down big tricks and for transitioning quick edge-to-edge on the mountain while maintaining ultimate durability for the not so careful riders. Along with that, the NXT baseplate is forged with aluminum to increase energy transfer from your boot-to-board and has a “rocker” design to increase board flex and feel. This allows you to transition... More ?

"Sweeeeeet!!!" 4/5/2010
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Flow NXT-ATSE
  • Pros:  Lightweight, Stylish, Easy to use
  • Cons:  Nothing!,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   These bindings ROCK! I got them almost 2 months ago here at SierraSnowboard and don't have anything bad to talk about it. My wife is a skier and she was tired of waiting me at the top of the lift, since I had to sit to strap my old bindings. Now, I am as fast as her, since it takes less than 5 seconds to get ready.

"Sick binding" 3/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Flow NXT-ATSE
  • Pros:  Ease getting in and out, Control, It was the cure for pressure point in my feet
  • Cons:  Frigging UGLY, Readjusting strap if necessary,
  • Flex:  stiff

Experience:   Ive been curious about Flows for a long time, but never took the plunge. I had a great pair of Nidecker Carbon 900 freestyle binding that were nice and holding up well. THEN I got a new board. So since I have 2 boards, I figured I'd finally give em a shot they were on sale at Sierra. I got them fedex'd to me (quick), unboxed em (thought to myself Wow these are ugly, and though its not heavy compare to older flows, certainly NOT light) and mounted them on my brand spankin' new board. I took it out on the mountain the following week to Big bear after some fresh snow dropped. (Hooray for 7 inches!) I was shocked. I was ratcheted in a bit loose, and I still had control! My traditional 2 strap Nideckers I ratcheted in really tight which some times caused pressure and made my feet hurt after a long day of riding. I had as much control as I ever did. I had no problems with anything blowing up, coming off, coming loose that I hear might be a problem. I did pull off resort and sit in some deeper pow and take off my board. Getting back in was a pain in the a$$ till I realized I could bind up like a traditional binding and open the ratchets. That was one of those Im so stupid, why didnt I think to do that earlier?! In any case, Im really happy with these so far. I'll update this review if i discover something I dont like later on.

Heads up, still a sick binding, but dialing in is tricky initially and I seem to have to readjust every few trips.

"VERY EASY In/Out" 12/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Flow NXT-ATSE
  • Pros:  Quick access, Comfortable footbed, Range of customization
  • Flex:  stiff

Experience:   I'm very happy with these bindings. These are my first Flow bindings and I was a bit skeptic about the fit adjustments on the fly as many people said this was something you needed to do throughout the day with Flow. However, I only calibrated the straps in the morning and perhaps once again in the afternoon for peace of mind and it was super easy. Great design, lots of customization available like toe extension, high back rotation, and high back tilt. Definitely feels solid. Note: very stiff.

  • Name: Flow NXT-ATSE
  • Pros:  Sick looking, Step in,
  • Cons:  Ratchets in a weird place,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   The special edition is the same as the normal, at least thats what I thought, untill I saw the ratchets were in a different place which sucked but other than that it is by far one of the best bindings i've used.

"Special Edition" 4/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Flow NXT-ATSE
  • Pros:  Light for the technology,
  • Cons:  Hard to adjust, Paint chips easily,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   This binding has a few differences from the NXT-AT standard as there are only 2 mini ratchets on 1 binding as opposed to 4. This might be a good thing because those buckles can get very fiddly. The binding has a great feel to it and is made from very solid material. For the price, you can't go past a pair!

"Quick in and quick out" 4/6/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Flow NXT-ATSE
  • Pros:  Quick to get in to and out of, Looks cool, Comfortable and responsive
  • Cons:  Sometimes I trip of the highback while skating,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I've rode this binding on my Arbor Coda for a few days and I really like how quick it is to get in at the top. I just skate past everyone sitting on their butts strapping in, and I just stick my back foot in and push the highback up while riding down the hill. I have a size 11 boot, and it did not fit with the Large, so I returned them and got the XL, which fit good. It's a bit tricky and takes a little bit to get used to sticking my foot in and getting it out because the toe portion of my boot is kind of wide.
