Sierra Says: All new this year is Flow's Rift Coiler Two Zone boot. It comes equipped with a unique BOA system that ensures a snug, supportive, and comfortable fit around the forefoot and ankle area, while the upper cuff is cinched down by a Velcro strap which can be adjusted to fit perfectly around your leg. This design will lighten the load a bit and still maintain the necessary response needed for aggressive all-mountain freestyle riding. Along with this, the Internal Security Harness improves ankle support thus enhancing boot-to-binding response, and the Silver liner compliments that feature while also increasing the range of motion of your feet. This is a perfect design for the more intermediate/advanced all-mountain freestyle riders who need enough response for hucking big, but who also want some mobility when lapping the park.

Flow Says: Skate shoe styling with high-tech appeal. Get the micro-adjustability of Dual Zone Closures for maximum custom comfort, but with minimal bulk and weight. In this all-new BOA application, a BOA coiler controls ankle and forefoot support, while the upper shaft is locked down by a wide Velcro power strap closure. This boot also features our ultra light molded liner and speed-lace Internal Security Harness for a perfect balance of high-performance support and freestyle flexibility.

"Nice boot!" 3/4/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Flow Rift Coiler Two Zone
  • Pros:  Warm, Two Zone is amazing, No heel lift
  • Cons:  big boots,
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  8,5
  • Boot Size:  9,5

Experience:   The Two Zone is just sick on this boot. With the BOA-coiler you can speedlace and the velcro helps to keep the boot tight when the BOA tends to slip a little bit. Never had boots that stayed so tight. Good mid flex for park or all mountain. The boot fits a little small though. Just go 1/2 or 1 size up. I think graphics are pretty nice too. Don't thinks this boot is heavy with al this tech, they are suprisingly light. I did not experienced any heel lift or cold feet. Only con on this boot is that (seems to me) they are a little bit big. But that shouldn't prevent you from being these!

"Not as White as they look" 3/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Flow Rift Coiler Two Zone
  • Pros:  Blue is hot!,
  • Cons:  White is not as white as it looks. , The strap already looks dirty.,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  stiff
  • Shoe Size:  11
  • Boot Size:  11.5

Experience:   The white isnt as white as it looks. Even the inside of the strap is already dirty right out of the box. I guess this was bound to happen any way. The blue is right on though. They fit tight so order a half-size -> full size up if you want comfort.

"Old school meets new school tech" 5/16/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Flow Rift Coiler Two Zone
  • Pros:  Retro velcro, Boa technology, Ankle support
  • Cons:  Black isn't very black, Orange spots, No J bar or boa repair kit
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I bought this boot for my older brother's birthday and personally I think it's a really good boot with boa tech since it brings back retro tech with the velcro straps. In the event if your boa tech fails you, the velcro strap will keep your boot in place. My gripes with the boot is that the black boot isn't very black and is probably not even black, there was also orange spots on the rim of the boots from manufacturer so I have to find a way to clean that off, they cut back on including complimentary j bars and boa repair kit with the purchase of the boots so you have to get them yourself.

"Not quite right..." 5/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Flow Rift Coiler Two Zone
  • Pros:  Good design, Quality liner,
  • Cons:  Big footprint, Not true dual zone, Velcro strap hits boa ratchet
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  stiff
  • Shoe Size:  9.5
  • Boot Size:  9.5

Experience:   I bought these boots as a second pair of boots for days when I go back to back boarding, that way I could let one pair dry while I ride the other pair. This was not a good decision for me and I am now going to initiate a return on these boots. I don't like that they are so stiff. Also, the footprint of the boot is really big, while other manufacturers are building smaller boots. So I was not able to strap into my boards using the currents settings. I would always have to adjust my bindings toe straps and position to be able to ride with these boots. Another nitpicky thing is that when you tighten down the velcro strap, it hits the BOA ratchet. This doesn't really harm anything, but I just don't like it.

"Awesome Boots" 3/16/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Flow Rift Coiler Two Zone
  • Pros:  Two zone system, Fast to get in/out, no heel lift!!!!!
  • Cons:  none,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  stiff
  • Shoe Size:  10.5-11
  • Boot Size:  11

Experience:   I just bought these boots recently, I sit half way between 10.5 and 11 in the sizing chart, and the 11's fit me perfectly so i think they are a tiny bit tighter fit like 1/4 of a size. Well, they fit me great, you can get them heat moulded, although i haven't done it yet should make them even more comfortable. They lace up super fast with boa system and the velcro strap makes sure they dont get loose as the boa fails that tiny bit during the day. There is no heel lift because of the gel pads in the liner which is awesome! and i got plenty of room to move my toes. overall great boot, worth the money

"Extreme comfort, Extreme convenience" 3/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Flow Rift Coiler Two Zone
  • Pros:  Boa is quick, Look nice, Extremely Comfortable
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  9
  • Boot Size:  9.5

Experience:   Decided to spend a little extra on the boots and try to get something comfortable. These fit the bill nicely! Nice and toasty and dry, super comfortable, and a molded heel to keep that heel lift down! Boa gets you on the mountain in no time and doesn't seem to come loose! Also lets you adjust the tightness without sitting down or taking your board off! Boarded with these two full days in a row and had no aches or pains! Boot also works perfectly with the Flow bindings if anyone has them.

"Awesome Boot" 3/11/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Flow Rift Coiler Two Zone
  • Pros:  Great fit! , Very good quality!
  • Cons:  NONE!,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  7.5
  • Boot Size:  8

Experience:   This IS an awesome boot! Easily the best I have tried. Out of the box, the quality of this boot puts my Burton Moto and Forum boots to shame. Fit is also perfect, very comfortable. Sizing is right where you would expect it to be. Flex is about mid to stiff. I haven't worn it in, so its probably a mid flex. But I think these would be great for carving and tearing through the crud. Might be too stiff for a beginner though. BOA Coiler is great, and very consistent. I like how the resistance on the knob increases as you make it tighter. You know exactly how much tension to put every time. The system is so good that you don't even need the strap. Its very easy to get in and out of the boot, just pull the knob outward a notch. Haha! No more yanking and unwrapping laces every which way! The laces for the liner are also very thick, it makes things a lot easier when setting up and getting out. With every boot I bought previously, I always regretted something. With this boot, NOTHING! Its a great quality boot. GET IT!

"Great boots!" 3/9/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Flow Rift Coiler Two Zone
  • Pros:  BOA, light and comfy, no heel lift
  • Cons:  not true dual zone,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  10
  • Boot Size:  10

Experience:   These boots are awesome. The feet feel nice and tight, and, as it was already mentioned by the others here, there's absolutely no heel lift. The BOA system will make you forget of the hassle lacing up and down the boots in the traditional way. The best thing is that you can adjust the tension in seconds - loosen the strings and let your feet rest, or tighten even more, if you need extra control! Don't expect them to be truely two zone, though, but I had no problem with that. Somebody here mentioned that the boots are big and somewhat bulky. Well, that's true, but then it's exactly how I like my boots. I think them being big is why they're so warm, having a thicker insulation. By the way, the inner shoe comes out nicely if you need to dry them, and then reataches securely back in place with the velcro strips. Overall, I'm very content with them and can recommend to anyone!
