Trusnow Says: Trusnow.com is proud to announce a special collaboration with Flow Snowboards. The Sierra Team Snowboard starts with the Flow Team shape, then customized the performance and flex in response to overwhelming feedback from our online community members. This limited snowboard is designed specifically for you; a recreational snowboarder, who has mastered snowboarding fundamentals, but is searching for new adventures, whether it is in powder, higher speeds or terrain park. In a nutshell, the Sierra Team is slightly softer than the Flow Team Snowboard. This is a great thing! We are not professional snowboarders; we are normal snowboarders who will benefit from a little more flex. Do... More ?

"My first snowboard" 1/5/2010
Helpful Review?   (11) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Sierra Team Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Powder
  • Pros:  Amazing graphics, Excellent price, Very fast
  • Cons:  None,

Experience:   This is my first non-learner snowboard that I have purchased. I have to say as a progressing all-mountain rider, this board meets my needs and has not disappointed me in the least. I was quite surprised as the speed this board had compared to the boards I had learned on and I had to adjust my riding accordingly. I have been able to get solid flex on turns and even wearing size 11.5 boots I haven't experienced any toe drag on the 159cm model. You really can't find a prettier board at a better price as a beginner so take the plunge and pick up this board.

i agree with you almost 100 percent and it was my first board to but the only bad thing about it that i didnt put in my review was that its a pretty heavy board and isnt that great in the park for that reason

"Piece Of ****" 6/15/2011
Helpful Review?   (5) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Sierra Team Snowboard
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Low Speeds
  • Pros:  Niece board when not broken.,
  • Cons:  The board chips and breaks very fast.,

Experience:   This was the first board I ever bought. I bought it from Sierra snowboard. . . then they switched to TruSnow. Well after the third time using it the cover sheet started peeling off. They would not give me a new board. I expected it to chip but for the top sheet to peel off was ridiculous. They told me that you did not need it to ride, so they did not have to refund it. I wish I did not waste my money on this board.

"Great board" 1/24/2010
Helpful Review?   (4) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Sierra Team Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Fast, Flexible, Edge grip
  • Cons:  Durability,

Experience:   Generally an all mountain rider looking to progress in the park. First off, awesome board especially with the $100 gift card deal back during promotion. Flexibility makes it fun to ride, but also performs great on steeps. Did not washout at any time with sharp turning on groomed or semi-icy surfaces. Top sheet and polymer was slightly damaged after 2 days of riding, which was not a problem with my old board of 5 years. Then again, perhaps I was able to be more aggressive with this board.

"The Dream Team" 12/11/2009
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Sierra Team Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Park,Powder,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Versatile, snappy, fast,
  • Cons:  none,

Experience:   I thought this was a great colab. The Flow Team is designed by one of my favorite riders (Antti Autti) and when I heard we were going to use it as the model for our Sierra Team, needless to say i was stoked. This board can be ridden by anybody but the rider that will most appreciate it is the one that rides bigger mountains and charges hard. The halfpipe, steep groomers, backcountry, and terrain park are all fair game with the Sierra Team. With input from the community, Phil designed a graphic that is both classy and awesome. Pick one up and you won't be disappointed.

  • Pros:  firm, good contact points, takes a beating
  • Cons:  not great for park, side wall is weak,

Experience:   This was my first snowboard I ever bought and it was the best purchase ever, I've bought another board to satisfy my park needs but this board still gets taken out on the black runs when the run is too bumpy. The only fault in this board is the side wall. Does provide much protection to the inner layers of the board if you put a little ding in it. Other than that, riding it is everything you want out of an all mountain board.

"beautiful board!!" 6/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Sierra Team Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Low Speeds,Powder
  • Pros:  low 2 fast speeds, cutting, light weight. flexable,
  • Cons:  none,

Experience:   i like snowboards that are not all crazy looking like some of these boards you see out there. i wanted something that looks awesome but didn't want something that looked like a teen age kids board. i wanted more of a plain looking, adult kinda looking board and not something that had a million colors. this board is not crazy loud like some other boards you have seen out there. at first i thought it was kinda plain looking but cool. i said this is kinda cool. even being not to flashy of a board, you can still tell alot of thought went in the art design of this master piece of a great snowboard. very high cool factor. awesome design. perfect colors. glossy black and flat black makes for two different colors of black mixed with silver. very cool. looks great with any color snow pants. looks awesome with black bindins. best looking board i ever seen. hands down. it's flexable if you want to try some trix. which is cool. even for my all moutain taste. perfect board for me. now i can try some crossing over to step my game up. really love it! love the colors. look even better in person then the photo. sierra shipped it so fast. got in from across the country the same week i order it. i like this board now even more then when i ordered it. if you like to have fun and want a board that can do most anything, then get one you will love it. does do all moutain riding really great and allows you to get some trix in 2. i love it!!

"Decent snowboard for starters" 4/5/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Sierra Team Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,Low Speeds,Park,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Easy to turn and link turns, Soft enough to have good pop and land ok, Good value board
  • Cons:  Not as stable in chop, Not for hard charging down the slope,

Experience:   This board is a decent beginners to intermediate board. If you like learning on a good board, this is the one for you. I think this maxes out as an intermediate level board. I wouldn't really use it to charge down the hill, as it's not meant for that, nor do you feel as stable doing it. If you are learning to link turns and carve down the hill, this is a good one to learn those basics. The pop is decent if you want to ollie on it. I think it makes for a good all mountain board, but nothing really special. I tried it out for several runs this past weekend, and I feel it's really more freestyle all mountain specific. Park works too, but overall, a good board that can do most things you want, performs decently, but lacks the true performance feel of the top notch all mountain decks. I wouldn't hesitate to use it as a board to learn on though, as it does a lot in helping you learn the basics. I just don't see it being the best choice for more advanced riders, especially not really meant for freeriding.

"Board will fall apart after the 1st year." 3/13/2012
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Sierra Team Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Was nice while it lasted.,
  • Cons:  WILL fall apart, poorly constructed!,

Experience:   This board was a great until it starting falling apart. This board did not get a lot of use (about 2 months) and was never ridden in the park. The top sheet stared peeling up on the ends and the brown glue is totally missing from both surfaces where it is peeled up. I have a really cheap Option Logic that I have been riding for years and is still going strong. The Sierra brand board was just not built to last. Since the board was purchased over a year ago I was not able to get it warranted. Save your money and buy a board from a reputable manufacturer. This is no bargain.

"Great Board for any level" 9/26/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Sierra Team Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,Off Trail,Park,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  forgiving flex, stable carving dynamics,

Experience:   I have been riding for almost 17 years and this was my first board i didn't buy hoping to grow with. my old 146 board lasted a while but it was time for something faster and more stable. (i'm 5' 9 now). my sierra team 153 is perfect for anything i throw down 99% of the time. yes, their are better powder boards, yes, their are better park boards. but if you were to only have one board in your quiver, I would take either the Sierra Team or Sierra Crew. I have always been a fan of FLOW and love the flex in their boards, so went with the Sierra Team. (two of my friends being more fans of Burton, went Sierra Crew) The board craves nice and smooth, stable, and even holds speed better than i expected a 153 to do. it rides and pops very predictably, and came through the first season of riding with only your normal small scoffs, (must likely do to me wandering off trail. ) a great board for any level. I wont replace it till it falls apart.
