The Five is Flow’s super versatile all-mountain binding built from high-tech Nylons, ready for anyone who wants to step up their game.
Key Features of the Flow The Five Snowboard Bindings:
The molded baseplate is engineered with a wider platform for stability and ease of entry and exit, and the 15% fiber-reinforced Nylon channels power efficiently to the board.
The 15% fiber-reinforced Nylon hiback is responsive, but flexy enough to allow for some freestyle tweaks.
The I-Flex PowerStrap with deep side cutouts provides ideal flex for freestylers and all-mountain riders, while the 3D-shape gives a direct boot-to-binding-to-board feel for those powerful toeside turns.
4 Airframe MINIratchets allows you to adjust the footstrap to individual preferences at each corner. A moveable sidepod allows easy boot-centering, and adjustable toeramp and EVA landing pads add all the cushioning and dampening you need.
Stiffness: 3 - moderately stiff flex for a snappy response but a mellow enough for that freestyle feel.

  • Pros:  Quick in and out system, Durable, Comfortable
  • Cons:  a bit heavy,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   First, I really like the quick in and out system from flow. I used these binding for like 10 days riding and they still looks new. I would say it is not very soft but still very good for all mountain riding. Pretty comfortable too.

  • Pros:  get at least 5 more runs in!,
  • Cons:  not as controllable compared to burton, ride, etc,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   buying these bindings after having lamar mx150 bindings was a HUGE improvement. Really durable, and when i first saw how flow bindings worked, i was skeptical on if the wire might stretch, break, or come undone while riding. but i havent even thought of that ever happening since riding them. My cable hasnt stretched at all which is a relief. :) Riding park with then is fine, just on the heavy side of bindings. but if you are a hardcore shredder, i would stick to traditional bindings. Thanks!

  • Pros:  Fast In/out, Comfy, Easy to install
  • Cons:  Initial Setup,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   Got these this year. The Flows were very easy to install onto the board. It took me about half a day on the mountains to get use to them. I rode previously on Ride bindings with Aluminum base plate. The 5's have a good amount of flex compared to the rides, plus you can't set your Flows very tight. There's a little wiggle room on the bindings, some might find annoying to get use to. I think if you like a tight very responsive bindings then these are probably not for you. Might want to try the NXT-AT's instead. Overall they are easy to get in a out, and pretty comfy on the feet. Response to turns is still very good after I've gotten use to them

  • Pros:  Same buckle tension every time, Very quick to put on,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I am one who spends all my time getting my binding tension just right. Since I have been using this Flow binding, if haven't had to readjust the tension once! It is perfect everytime. It is also very quick to put on. Once you come off the chair lift, you can put your foot in and clip it up, without even stopping, and then striaght down the hill!

  • Pros:  Just the right flex, Speedy,
  • Cons:  A bit of loss in response,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I really do enjoy having these bindings. Personally, i prefer not to wait for my friends at the top of a mountain and with these bindings i certainly dont have to. They provide exellent support and they do have a nice design. However, I have noticed a loss of a bit of response. The amount is very little compared to my old bindings, but then again it may just be my OCD noticing things. Good bindings though!
