"The SF45 translates into ultimate response, focus and high performanceThe GENETIC BASE with a super blend 45 nylon makes for a perfect combination of stability and board response. The highback also features a super tough nylon blend which translates into a highly responsive feel. Perfect for halfpipe & free-riding shredders. "King of freeride bindings" 4/15/2013
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Flux SF45 Snowboard Bindings - Men's
  • Pros:  absolutely incredible strap comfort, tool-less adjustments, lightweight
  • Cons:  sticky forward lean adjuster,
  • Flex:  stiff

Experience:   If you're in the market for a stiff binding to match with a stiff board setup, then the SF45 is arguably the king of the hill. The comfort of Flux straps needs no introduction-- they're simply the best that money can buy, I'm not joking...-- but the real showstopper was their new 'Alpha' baseplate that was introduced last year. It's lighter and stronger than before and when combined with the stiff highback, the SF45 has the rigidity to manipulate almost any board out there. The '45' refers the 45% fibreglass content in the baseplate and highback, and it is the highest concentration of glass in the Flux product line. My only gripe is the forward lean adjusting dial can be a bitch to tweak when it's slippery or snow has jammed it up. FYI: 2012 SF45 had the stiffest highback of all years. I matched this with my big and stiff Arbor Element snowboard and the binding will bend it like it was meant to; just common sense that your board should flex more than your binding which is why this is such a perfect freeride binding for the price. The SF45 will also excel when you want to send it big... like 30-foot kickers big. Pro rider Eric Willett uses the SF45 for almost all of his competitions and the binding can really take a hard beating. If you want to send it big off the kickers, but want more flexibility for the jibs and presses, get the Flux DS30 instead because the stabiliser feet on the SF45 will resist the board flexing. For all-mountain use, the SF45 is a golden choice for the old-school riders who prefer higher rigidity than some thing like the Flux TT30 or Union Force.

"Great Binding" 11/3/2010

  • Name: Flux SF45 Snowboard Bindings - Men's
  • Pros:  wide, Durable, Easy to adjust
  • Cons:  none,
  • Flex:  stiff

Experience:   This is awsome. I got it few weeks ago. I just set up and test it in my room. A little stiffer than other bindings, which I like and also I wears sz 9.5 boots and these bindings are a little wide. So it's good for burton boots or similars

"Love my Binding" 11/23/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Flux SF45 Snowboard Bindings - Men's
  • Pros:  easy set up, Color,
  • Flex:  stiff

Experience:   Just bought the binding about 2 weeks ago, and had it on the mountain last weekend. first time for the season, thinking i will forget what i have learned last year. but the binding is so good, i have so much control, i feels that i am doing better then the last season on the first run. there are a lot of adjustment to mess around.
