  • Name: 2012 Flux TT30 Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Comfortable straps, High-quality construction, Tool-less adjustments
  • Cons:  Realistically fits only up to US size 11 boots, Base dampening can be improved,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   The Flux TT30 is a lightweight mid-range binding for all-mountain use and it excels at this target purpose... its direct competitor is the 2012 Union Force, so I will compare it to that. Conveniently, my riding parter has the 2012 Union Force and we periodically switch equipment to experience different products. Right from the start, Flux TT30 has a better ankle strap and much better ratchets-- it's no exaggeration when I say that Flux has *THE BEST* ankle straps for your money. It is sewn in very high quality suede-like material but doesn't rip and can take harsh use! The ratchets also have sleeves that hold the belt against the strap when buckling in; this is a very well-thought out feature that Union does not offer in any binding. The highback has the perfect height and stiffness for all-mountain shredding (including jibbing and ground tricks) but I prefer more stiffness for carving on hard surfaces and icy East coast snow. The toe strap also has a belt sleeve, but the strap can bite into the boot and has started to peel back on my sole; I feel this is because of my leather boot's design. It also doesn't appear to fit boot sizes above US size 11, so big-foot riders should avoid it. The base needs more cushioning for hard landings but has sufficient dampening to cover 95%+ of riding, anyway. If you like tweaking your binding for the perfect setup, the TT30 is completely tool-less (except the baseplate, obviously). For seasoned riders, Flux is comparable to Union and is typically associated with high-quality merchandise-- neither company sells half-assed bulls**t products. In the end, I call it a tie with the 2012 Union Force, which is another absolutely superb mid-range binding. Honestly, the TT30 looks nicer, but you don't buy bindings for looks. If you are not buying the Flux TT30, then you are buying the Union Force. They are the best at what they do. It's as simple as that.

  • Name: 2012 Flux TT30 Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Good Flex, Durable, Easy on and Off
  • Cons:  Low High Back,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I was looking to get new bindings so i tried a few pairs by demoing them. I demo'd these because of all the good things i have heard. They were awesome bindings, one of the most comfortable pairs i have ever road on. I would defiantly recommend these bindings. They were easy to put on and off and are really durable when it comes to tearing up the mountain. Also when you get these bindings they come with extra straps witch is nice just encase one breaks. Overall these bindings were sick and they are by far going to be the next bindings that i get. The high back was a little stiff at first but loosened up throughout the day.

  • Name: 2012 Flux TT30 Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Straps are amazing, No slips on ratcheting, super easy adjustability
  • Cons:  not broken in yet, little stiff,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   So I wanted to try flux bindings for a while, having ridden some Union, Burton, k2, and ride bindings before. These have by far the comfiest straps ive ever had. They include 2 extra of the plastic part of the strap that goes into the ratchet, one for the toe strap and one for the ankle. It's great to know there's extra because I have had issues with a union one breaking (day wrecker). The binding is easily adjustable without tools. The highback is fairly stiff right now but it's not broken in yet. Hopefully it'll end up softer than my cartels but the flex is comparable to that. Awesome binding for the money and it will go anywhere you want. And just a sidenote, I ride mostly park but powder also (depends on what side of the country I'm on) and I don't hit jumps over 35 feet.
