If your business is blasting mammoth airs, ripping past flailers and pushing the limits every time you strap in, then you probably already know about the Destroyer’s criminal activity. You should also know that Pat Moore uses the power generated from the NEW Car Bombs to do exactly these things. And you most certainly know in order to experience this kind of authority you gotta get back on camber!

Base color may very.

"A well balanced board that betters it's previous models" 10/2/2012

  • Name: 2013 Forum Destroyer Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Combo camber is a bit of the pros of everything, Nice and poppy and easy to press, Druable topsheet and edges
  • Cons:  Not as stable as a camber board at high speeds, Design is a little bit dull, Relatively slow base

Experience:   The Forum destroyers have been great boards for a few years now but this one feels like it has taken the flaws of the previous models and fixed them to make an incredible all round park board. The camber profile of the 2013 model, what Forum call double dog, is a combo camber. It has a fairly aggressive reverse camber between and outside the bindings and regular camber at the bindings. That makes the board pretty loose and playful but also gives it plenty of stability. It is neither as stable as a camber board or as loose as a reverse camber but it balances nicely between the advantages and drawbacks of both. The core profile is also a little bit wider just near the turning edge and thinner just after it (something like squeezebox on some Burton boards) which makes it a bit more poppy and more stable on presses and also gives the board more pop out of turns. I took this on mainly hard pack, corn snow and a little bit of fresh powder and it was pretty solid on them all. In the park this board was a stack of fun and the reduced weight in the nose and tail make it a very easy board to progress on while the stability and looseness are a great combination for stomping landings. Mine is a 154 but it handles more like a 152 and it has a surprising amount of pop in it without being too soft. The most noticeable drawback is that this board isn't as stable at higher speeds compared to a regular camber board. That said, it is much more stable than a reverse camber board and the compromise is fair enough considering this is mainly a park board. The base on this one is sintered but I found that it wasn't as fast as other bases I have ridden on. The base and topsheet are actually pretty durable and have taken a little abuse without showing it but compared to previous years this design is a little bit dull. If you aren't worried about that though this is a great board for cruising and for hitting the park (and probably free riding too).
