Sierra says: A great budget freestyle binding, the Lien is packed with a deadly trio of strength, flex, and comfort. The new toecap design, along with the highback design, adds extra response and comfort when riding. It is a slightly stiff binding for added rigidness when stepping up your big-airs. These bindings are perfect for the progressing park rider.

Forum says: The 2009 Lien binding gets revamped with a new strap kit that features the Throwdown Toecap for your toes and the cushy Misty strap on your ankle. With an integrated toe-ramp and our fully-adjustable Living Hinge highback, a responsive ride is guaranteed. 15% short-fiber glass content in the baseplate makes this the stiffer of our two Uniform series bindings; soft enough for rails and jibs, yet rigid enough for high-speed freestyle park jumping.

"Solid Binding" 11/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Forum Lien
  • Pros:  Solid feel,
  • Cons:  Fit, Toe Cap,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I had got this binding last year for christmas and I didn't like how it fit. I wear a size 12 and the large didn't fit good. The toe cap was way to small. Also the straps were barely long enough to go over my boot. Other then that they seemed like they would be a good solid binding. I suggest not to buy these if you have 11+ boots.

"Pretty nice" 3/2/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Forum Lien
  • Pros:  sweet look, sturdy, holds well when the straps are icy
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   These bindings are awesome in my opinion. They are easy to strap and unstrap even when they have ice and slush on them. They look really good (especially when used with the 2011 flow verve rocker) and are fairly cheap for the quality of the bindings.

"breaks easily" 11/20/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Forum Lien
  • Pros:  colorful, flexy,
  • Cons:  bolts come loose, toe strap falls off,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   these bindings break, easy. ive lost screws for the toe and ankle strap multiple times, and once the toe cap fell off the lift. when they function properly, they rock tho. they flex enough for presses, and are still good at high speeds. if you can get them set right, they are every bit worth the breaking.

"Good, not great" 2/25/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Forum Lien
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Comfortable, Well known brand
  • Cons:  Heavy, Tricky instillation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   These bindings are relatively soft, but do the job all over the mountain. The cheap price of the bindings is reflected in some of the materials and construction and i'm not sure how long they will last. That said, they are a decent binding.

"Forum Lien Review" 2/22/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Forum Lien
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Boot hold, Comfortable, Well known brand
  • Cons:  Difficult in & out, Poor adjustability
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   The lift on the back always gets up and eventually gets broken (like my left one got) or loses the sticker when you fall. The toe strap doesn't let you tighten the boot more than how much you'd do with your hands and that's a side down. They are mid weight so I wouldn't consider them either heavy or lightweight. If you're going for cheap bindings, chose these ones, if not just buy some ride bindings.
