Sierra Says:

Here is another "Oldie but Goodie". The Forum Luxirie is a special collaboration with the clothing line LRG. We personally know some women in the fashion industry who bought this board to compliment all the LRG gear in their closet.

The Forum Luxirie is not just a fashion piece; it is a high end performance snowboard for women who have outgrown their first snowboard or are looking to buy one snowboard that never needs to be replaced. We recommend this board to women who may also be looking at the Burton Feelgood Snowboard.

"Perfect for Improvers!" 4/7/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Forum Luxirie Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Off Trail,Park,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Design, Shape that makes the turns easier,
  • Cons:  could have been slightly longer (for me),

Experience:   Love this board! I just used it for the first time this WE and it was very easy to get used to it (I am an Intermediate learning off-piste and jumps). The shape of the board (symmetrical and curvy) helps a lot for the turns (very useful for the beginner learning the switch riding) and for the off-trail despite the fact the board could have been longer for my weight and height. I love the design: pretty girly w/o being too much! I fitted Burton Cartels onto it and works pretty well (Men's model in M - white and Apple Green to match the board). Big feet: be careful! I am a 9.5 US (Bindings: L Women or M Men) and fits ok but the board might be too narrow for for bigger sizes...

gizomp
Hi. Wanted to know if you being size 9.5 in womens has any difficulties controlling the board; being only 23.0cm waist, or any other cons to it? And what boots are you using on them? How are you with the board so far?

Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Forum Luxirie Snowboard
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Butters,Jibs,Jumps,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  great pop, twists easily, absorbs shock
  • Cons:  edgehold, stability at high speed,

Experience:   I love this board. I use it for instructing and freestyle/park, as well as an all mountain board. I would describe it as, in a single word, snappy. It's easy enough to ride for a beginner but is responsive enough for an advanced rider. I only wish I had it in a slightly longer size (for me) so it would be more stable at high speed. I get lots of compliments on the graphic.

Would this board (152) be good for a beginner about 5'6" 130 lb? Want to make a sneaky present.

misa418
Do you mean 5'9" 130lbs.? :-)

misa418

Experience:   Read all the reviews before purchase this board. Love my choice. Took it to the mountain one week after I got it, absolutely love it. I am a beginner so nothing crazy but very easy to use and feels great. It fits perfectly with my Burton bindings too - |I was a little worried when place the order. Great value. Absolutely love the pattern on it.

  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Park,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Great look, Light, Perfect manuverability
  • Cons:  Limited sizes,

Experience:   Bought this for my friend and inspected it as soon as it got to me. Looks even better in person, great colors, great detail, perfect for a girl who doesnt go crazy with pink and purple. You know exactly who I'm talking about :) Detuned just right to get great carving and be playful and forgiving. Twin + center stance works great in the park. Perfect flex/pop ratio. I own 5 boards and it seems that the best one I bought is a gift to someone else. Makes me little sad. The price was great and i could not be happier after this purchase. If you are reading this and considering this board look no further, seriously - buy it! BTW matches perfectly w/ Rossignol Amber Hc Snowboard Bindings Women's, different manufacturer but a perfect match... freaky.

  • Pros:  Perfect for beginner, Only need to buy this one board, Like the design

Experience:   I love this board! I've had my eye on it for about a year! I just got back from New Zealand and Australia and one of the girls I was with had it!!! I took it for a run and I absolutely loved it! Her's was 152, but I'm not sure if that's too long? I loved it either way. Can't wait to get it! :) I'm just a beginner so I didn't try anything crazy but Sara said that it's great for everything.
