"Best Bindings Ever I Rode" 12/30/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Forum The Republic Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Lightweight, Easy to Unbind, Keeps tight fit
  • Cons:  Frays on the toe strap,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Best binding i ever rode. Thinking about buying another set for my Palmer. I love these bindings, they fit my Ride boots perfectly and it doesn't slide at all. They look slick with my board and are excellent.

"Great Bindings!" 11/27/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Forum The Republic Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  nice flex, color combo, feet stay set
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   So far while using these bindings, i love them! For the low price that they are, they deliver great quality and a nice ride. I noticed that when my feet are in them, they do not shift around like they used to a little in my old bindings. Overall, they are great bindings if you don't want to spend too much money.

"Good All Around Binding" 10/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Forum The Republic Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Very Adjustable, Durable, Comfortable Straps
  • Cons:  Small pieces on adjustment screws, Ankle ratchet sometimes hard to take off,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Good overall binding. Used these all last year with no major problems. They look nice, are comfortable and easily adjusted. I used them mostly on groomers and some powder. The straps are comfy but the ankle ratchet binds up from time to time. I really enjoyed the toe cap strap which paired up well with the Burton Hail boots I use. The only other small complaint I have is the small clear plastic pieces that attach to the adjustment screws on the heel cup. The pieces are hard to find if you drop them. Overall good binder. Worth trying out.

"Great for Carving" 2/18/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Forum The Republic Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Light, Tight fitting, Price
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   These bindings were SOLID. I didn't realize how much give I had on my heel before. I ended up tightening up my single boa so much that I got some nasty scabs on my shins and calf after a day of riding (Need new boots, I guess). They have a lot of padding so your landings are much easier. If you bind behind your toes instead of around the front (like I used to), there's a lot of give. This is fairly stiff and responsive for carving, which is most of what I do.

"Best bang for buck binding!" 2/14/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Forum The Republic Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  very sturdy, easy to strap in, bright colours
  • Cons:  toe cap is fragile,

Experience:   i rode on these bindings on my first time on the mountain on my brothers setup, these bindings and sierra crew handled like a champ as a first time rider, got scary at the speeds down the slopes and transitions were lovely and predictable, as i could be very aggressive compared to my old burton custom and salamon board. Would recommend this to any beginner and mid level rider

"Freestyle King" 1/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Forum The Republic Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Solid hold, nice straps, cheap
  • Cons:  Some Metal in the Baselate, heavy,
  • Flex:  stiff

Experience:   I just picked these things up for my friend. I tried them out and loved how it was a comfortable, solid hold. This has to do with the nice straps they hooked these babies up with. They were a little heavy when I first rode them, but I easily could have been the board. I personaly dont like the metal baseplate, but it does have some plastic combined. Id give it a B+ overall

"Great bindings" 12/30/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Forum The Republic Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Comfortable, responsive,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   These bindings worked great for me. They are very adjustable and quick and easy to set up, and the straps held my feet in while still offering a good amount of padding. One thing to watch out for is to check and make sure that the screws are all tightened before and after each day of riding, because one of the screws and little plastic things that hold the straps in fell out and I think I was really lucky to have found it, because the clear plastic pieces look like they might be nearly impossible to find. Also, the straps stretched out a bit after the first few uses, so you might have to continue to make adjustments after the initial set up, but thats to be expected.
