Forum Says: At every hill where parks exist, the Youngbloods are a tight crew. But until this season, not every member of the brotherhood rode the same. So the line was dialed in tight so that when stepping up to move west or downsizing for a rail comp' each deck will ride just like its bigger or smaller blood brother. Fifty-six, fifty-two or forty-eight, the crew will be ripping with the same style from this season on. To illustrate this theme, a special series was created to stack up like skate graphics.

"BOARDSOME!" 1/4/2010
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Forum Youngblood
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,Halfpipe,High Speeds,Jibs,Jumps,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Light as a feather and fast as a cougar, Soft enough for presses n tough enough for kickers, Easily tunable and repairable
  • Cons:  Weak sidewalls (that's fixable with sandpaper),

Experience:   I've been riding my 2009 Youngblood for one year now and all I can say is WOW, these boards must be built with the purpose of getting abused. and it's true... I fell onto kicker's edges, catched rail's in the wrong way, rode on top of rocks and ice blocks, fell one gazillion times and even though of that the board is still there, almost brand-new and ready to be abused even more! This board is for the rider that wants to go everywhere on the mountain and don't fear big jumps and big bails. It will fall, carve, jump, press, butter, slide off rails and do everything you want without breaking up, mine can prove it.

Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Forum Youngblood

  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Park,Powder,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  tough, flex,
  • Cons:  weight,

Experience:   my buddy has this board and i tried it out on some runs and boxes. at first i thought it was gonna comparably soft to my stairmaster but it was actually alot stiffer. when tryin to press on boxes i had to add more pressure but no doubt it is a fun board to mess around with. i also noticed that the board is more on the heavy side but that really doesnt matter to me. good board for those starting to rome all over the mountain.

  • Pros:  Flex, light, durable, FUN!,graphic steez,

Experience:   My brother got this board and I got to spend a little time on it. I love the way these boards ride and they are light enough to manipulate. I would have gone with the rocker version though (i normally ride a substance chillydog)

"Youngblood = all good" 6/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Forum Youngblood
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Jibs,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  good flex, decent pop, comes in wide
  • Cons:  short shelf life,

Experience:   All round an awesome park board. Good flex, alright pop, sweet for learning spins and good for tweaks. Softened up pretty quick and might lose its pop soon by the feel of things. If its good enough for the forum team to do doublecorks on 100fters, its probably gonna be good enough for you. And come on. ITs $200, this board is awesome.

"Amazing board" 4/19/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Forum Youngblood
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  great for east coast riding, Durable, Best park board on market for intermediates
  • Cons:  Not good in halfpipe,

Experience:   I rode the Youngblood 152 and the first thing i noticed was how smooth of a ride it was. You could bomb the whole hill without getting shaky at all. This board was also very durable, i rode just about all surfaces (dirt, ice, and even rocks on accident) and i slipped out on tons of rails and ate it about 5 times off of 30 foot kickers and this board was as good as new. The paint barely even chipped. This board could be compared to the Burton Hero of 09 not as much the 2010 version. This is a 5 star board for a 2 star pice. This is a steal buy it now!

  • Name: Forum Youngblood
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Halfpipe,Jibs,Jumps
  • Pros:  medium flex, not a noodle, stable
  • Cons:  chips easy,

Experience:   i got to demo this board this season and it is deffinatly one of my favorite cambered park boards. very comparable to my capita stairmaster and designed for the same purpose, to be abused in the park. since its not a noodle it can be taken all over the mountain. you can press on a box, then drop into the superpipe same run. very nice board for those who rock camber. i owned an older version aswell, and loved it.

"Pressable Popper" 3/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Forum Youngblood
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Halfpipe,High Speeds,Jibs,Jumps,Low Speeds,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Low-Profile/Low-Rise, Super Stable at speed & spin, Easy to lock on to Rails,
  • Cons:  Board is stiff at first,

Experience:   This board is a solid park/mountain slayer in a true twin/freestyle form. Stable at high speeds and still pressable. After a simple de-tune this board locks onto rails and boxes. Shreds pow and hauls on groomers.
