Sierra Says: Here is a stellar all-mountain twin that you can take anywhere on the mountain and have a blast. The stability and smoothness of the Extreme is one of a kind and allows you to have a very comfortable ride. The Extremes are incredibly forgiving skis and are definitely a ski to be seriously considering if you love tearing up the whole mountain.

K2 Says: The Extreme has the confidence and stability to rip any terrain and it has the torsional strength and durability to handle the toughest of landings and the most punishing abuse in the park. Emulate PK Hunder's double cork 1080 or just bust out some of the ol' moves on the topsheet. Either way, we'll be proud. Keep it Extreme.

"Epic Ski, Leaves You Speechless" 4/18/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: K2 Extreme
  • Pros:  Everything, Comfortable, Fast, Stable, Sturdy, Reliable,
  • Cons:  TOPSHEET chipping,

Experience:   This ski has no reviews, which is strange because it is so amazing. To go into detail of the pros I own the 2010 model in 169s. I am a recent convert from racing/ backcountry to now freestyle. But I do still love my backcountry, and all mountain, which is why these were made. These skis have the capability to pull of slides, flips and grinds while having the capability to take turns and corners on a dime. This ski also can save your knees if the conditions are icy out, so if you hit a jump you won't have to worry too much about shock falling, the sidewall absorbs the impact and keeps the ski safe as well. Cons: The only con that I can think of is the topsheet, which chips like a M.F. So my suggestions are to use some kind of lacquer (preferably brush use), or epoxy to spread onto the topsheet before you use the skis. I will try the lacquer, to see how well that works and if you have more questions let me know on my profile. Happy skiing

"K2 Extreme" 2/11/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: K2 Extreme
  • Pros:  A Classic,

Experience:   Modern day version of the Public Enemy. It's not a classic for no reason. Easy to turn, carves on anything including hardpack. Loved them in spring conditions. Better than average in bumps. Not really a pow ski and somewhat unsettled in heavy crud but not the worst either.

"K2 extreme's 2010 awesome!" 2/3/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: K2 Extreme
  • Pros:  really light ski, not too soft not too hard,

Experience:   yesterday i got my k2 extreme, today i got the chance to take them out for a ride and it was awesome, really nice ski to take on the trails and into the park since the ski is hard enough you get the chance to land jumps on the back seat without breaking your back!

"Bring back the Aspen Extreme!" 12/11/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: K2 Extreme
  • Pros:  Old Skool graphics,
  • Cons:  super soft,

Experience:   You won't be doing any old skool tricks with these skis. Soft at the head/tail, great skis for jibs and buttering... but at high speed, it does feel a lil unstable.

I was personally clocking 55mph down some crud, and they weren't flapping at at, it was actually frightening how stable they were
