"Whatever you thought about snowboards, hit reset. The NEW Fastplant™ signals yet another first for K2 and for snowboarding: the INDESTRUCTIBLE* board. You read that right! Skate-inspired and eco-friendly, Fastplant’s new Bambooyah™ core – pioneered by K2 mad scientists – signals the arrival of a game-changing breed of park tool. All jacked-up on JIB ROCKER, the Fastplant delivers unequalled pop, strength and durability. Combined with signature graphics, the ultimate park board is born! "

Fastplants 5-year Warranty Against Breakage: "Limited to complete board breaks of the core caused by snowboarding. A break this catastrophic would render the board completely un-ride-able, similar to a broken surfboard. Our lab hydraulics have a tough enough time breaking one, so if you do, well send a new board along with a get well card. Translation: Dont saw this thing in half or drag it behind a truck and expect to warranty it. Were onto you, pal. "

"Game changer" 12/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: K2 Fastplant Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Pop & flex + 5 year warranty, Jib rocker, All around versatility
  • Cons:  Not expensive, but not cheap either, Bamboo core heavier than others,

Experience:   After having my eye on this board for a while, I finally took the plunge and picked it up. First impressions after slapping my bindings on and fooling around on the carpet: this thing has serious flex. Even prior to breaking it in, it obvious the board loves to bend, but you can tell its not just a cheap noodle (which is obvious based on K2's aggressive 5 year no-snap warranty). The decision maker for me to get this board over the cheaper WWW rocker is all in the core technology that makes this board superior for park riding, yet stable at high speeds and suitable for all kinds of riding including some backcountry. I'm certain I can keep this as a primary board and scrap the rest. From what I've read, this board is supposed to be a game changer, once I get it up on the hill this weekend I will confirm it.

"great all around board" 9/2/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: K2 Fastplant Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  great pop off big rollers, strong on rails/doesnt bend a lot, lightweight

Experience:   This board has a nice design with a light frame that is perfect for trails or in the park. I found it was good on long rollers and rollercoaster boxes. i had a very good season with this board and over time i realized how much i loved this board and its not too expensive so i would reccomend this board for anyone who likes park and black diamonds and especially to those who love the thrill of jumping and getting bigg air.

  • Name: K2 Fastplant Snowboard
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  fast, soft flex, awesome designs
  • Cons:  heavier board,

Experience:   really fast board, not the fasted board, but it definitely has pep, demo'd it in japan whilst staying with some back packers, K2 is a great up and coming brand. i urge everyone to at least try this board. so much room to move and not an aggressive ride, no real strain, just easy cruisy riding.

"AMAZING!" 11/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: K2 Fastplant Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  great pop, warranty, will not snap any time soon

Experience:   man where do i start with this... a buddy of mine bought this board last week and he's been talking about how much flex it has and i thought he was lying so he let me use it and i did a flex test on it and couldnt believe how tough that board was! but anyways, the board is perfect especially with the 5 year warranty on the side :) the flex is beyond what any park rider could want without having any worry of snapping or splitting the board. its perfect for jibs, REALLY nice and easy to butter and press and of course it handles on rails and about any size jump. so yea if u want a board u can rely on, this board is the one :)

What bindings should I strap on this board? I currently have Raiden Blackhawk Bindings and I mostly ride in the east coast around Tennessee, North Carolina, and West Virgina so there isnt much powder typically.

cant go wrong with a pair of union contacts or forces

"K2 Fastplant" 10/30/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: K2 Fastplant Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Flex blandito (soft flex), Agarre del canto que flipas (amazing edge grip), Le da a todo (polyvalent)
  • Cons:  I have no cons,

Thefastplant board seemed a very soft and easy to carry, as expected with a rocker board, although it works fine at high speed. It is alive with a good pop and a whole lot of fun. The edges holds the snow well (it grips perfectly). With a warranty of 5 years is a perfect table for everyone. From beginner to expert. Enjoy it

"Awesome Board, BAMBOOYA power" 2/10/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: K2 Fastplant Snowboard
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  Bambooya Core (durability and pop), Stabillity, Jib Rocker Shape
  • Cons:  A little expensive,

Experience:   I am in the process of trying as many boards as humanly possible before midterms and the shop was nice enough to let me try the 2011 version of this board. The board seemed very flexible (didnt know if it was cuz it had a lot of wear and tear) and with k2's new extended warranty you should do hearty jibs with no worries on snapping your board ;) Comparing it to the k2 world wide weapon, this seems a little more geared towards all around mountain free style riding but sacrifices a little weight (its a noticeably heavier) compared to the WWW. If you want a primary all u can do all around stick, definetly check this out! (its on sale too here i believe!)

"Hefty Hefty Hefty" 1/4/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: K2 Fastplant Snowboard
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  Fast, Stable,
  • Cons:  Heavy,

Experience:   This board is a bit heavier than others. That can be a good thing though, it provided me with stability and good speeds when I demoed it at WinterPark. It was also great for traverses as it got me through most of them without having to skate.

"The All-Rounder!!" 3/16/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (6) No

  • Name: K2 Fastplant Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Fast, Strong , Great pop
  • Cons:  Heavy,

Experience:   I demoed this board recently in Japan and I found little, if not zero, problems with this. It's a board with heaps of pop so you can easily ollie up onto a box or rail, it's super fast of both groomed an ungroomed slopes and is so strong that it won't break on you no matter how hard you thrash (thus the 5 year warranty). It also goes great on powder. The only con I found is that it was a little heavy to easily land those 360's (but it's still surprisingly good in the pow). I recommend this board for any all-mountain intermediate boarder.

"POP!" 9/15/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: K2 Fastplant Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Jib Rocker for non catching boxes, POP!, Warranty
  • Cons:  Sketchy edge hold on icy conditions,

Experience:   Bamboo core delivers amazing pop. Jib rocker shape for non catching edges on boxes. Surprisingly handled well out of the park can throw down the turns without any worries of the board noodling up. On icy conditions the edge hold was weak and can get sketchy if you didn't adjust. Great 5 year warranty on core and park specific. it is going to be interesting to see if this core can hold up to more abuse but so far it can take it.
