"Last season, Parkstar™ took Rookie of the Year honors, winning over camp kids, seasoned pros and magazine testers straight off the rack. This year the Parkstar flexes a little more muscle, emerging as a fun, press-ready ride with screaming base swaps, a chaos topsheet and the forgiving JIB ROCKER feel that made it famous. Unmatched maneuverability and something loosely defined as ‘buttery goodness’ back the Parkstar’s game."

Base color may very.

  • Name: K2 Parkstar Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  Flat Camber, Great Pop, Good Flex
  • Cons:  Sharp Edges (Not my taste, I grinded them down),

Experience:   I got this board last year while in Park City Utah at a local shop while I was on vacation. I had a Smokin board, but 3 ft of powder and being from the midwest I hit a tree at The Canyons and snapped it right between the middle of my bindings. I used this board for a few days at the end of the season last year. I am 99% sure it is a flat board, can't remember off of the top of my head. I have a 157w and it was awesome. It handled awesome in the powder! A nice wide board floated great. I was not happy with how sharp the edges of the board were, but went to a local hardware store and got a file and the problem was solved in about 20 minutes. I didn't hit that many jumps while there because of the amount of snow made it hard for me to get enough speed to clear any of the jumps that were roughly 25 feet. I also rode this last year at Tyrol Basin in Wisconsin at the end of last year. I competed in a big air comp there and the board handled fine off the 40 foot kicker that they had set up. Also rode a lot of rails there and the board handled fine with all of them. At first it was a little hard to press, but that is a common problem with every new board. The 2nd day the board pressed awesome. I got the board for about $220 and have been really impressed with it and really happy that I got it.

"great board" 6/27/2011

  • Pros:  great flex, good edge hold, sick graphic
  • Cons:  none,

Experience:   i bought this board for the park but that is not all it can do. this board's flex is great for jibbing and pretty good for butters too. this board is not a noodle though, you can still take it off small to medium sized kickers. i was also very impressed of how well this board did on the rest of the mountain. i ride east coast so sometimes it gets icy but this board had a great edge hold when you needed it, that playful feel that rocker boards have in the park, and the forgiveness to take it off jumps. all around this is a great board. i would definately recommend this to anybody that rides a lot of park and the rest of the mountain too.

  • Name: K2 Parkstar Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Flexible, Forgiving, Able to handle high speeds
  • Cons:  top sheet chipped pretty easy,

Experience:   This board has been awesome! It's fun in the park but also handles really good when just bombing hills... Not as soft as some park specific boards but if you like to play in the park and then fly around the mountain this is a great all around board, pick it up.

"Parkstar '11" 12/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: K2 Parkstar Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  midflex, poppy tail, stable at high speeds

Experience:   I've ridden this board a few times now and I like it a lot. I love K2's flat boards. The parkstar has about 20% rocker outside the bindings. This flat to rocker hybrid makes this board incredibly versatile and fun. It holds well in icy conditions and the gentle rocker is great when you find some powder. No tail pop was sacrificed with this board either. I loved it on kickers and rails. I'd recommend this board to anyone looking to learn and progress in park as well as intermediate riders who want to up their game.

"Great Board" 12/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: K2 Parkstar Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Nice Flex, good pop, versatile

Experience:   Great board for any style riding. It's stiffer for a parkstyle board, so it's nice for all-mountain too. Though I wouldn't recommend this board for really big guys. I weigh about 200 and ride a 157. It's fine for me but could see it flexing a little too much for anyone bigger. Board is kind of on the thinner side too. I wear a size 10.5 boot and wouldn't recommend putting anything bigger than a 11 on this board. Very responsive, poppy, and forgiving. Great all around board
