Sierra Says: The Slayblade is new this season and has taken place of the Zeppelin, but is designed for more all-terrain versatility. This high-end all-mountain freestyle snowboard has a flat camber design so you get the perfect balance of high-speed stability and low-speed maneuverability. Jib this board in the park, launch it off some kickers, and smash down the mountain and you will realize it performs to push you to the next level in your riding. The super lightweight core lessens the amount of force you need to use to throw it around and the Carbon Matrix increases the torsional response of the board for the best control you can get at any speeds. "Literally a blade that slays" 10/19/2010

  • Pros:  Fast, Stable carving, Good float in powder

Experience:   I bought this board end of last season. I picked it up at a discount for a trip out west. I read all the reviews on it and about the rewards it had won, so I needed to know it for myself. First off, this board is beautiful. I love the graphic on the top sheet and the base. Next the ride is perfect (probably helped by the built-in dampening); no chatter when carving. I road this in powder and it was great. It has good float and I was able to slay through thick fresh snow. For the east coast, it was excellent as well and did well for me in both groomed and ungroomed conditions. This board is a keeper and I'm excited to ride it this season. I would recommend this board to anyone, so I expect the new one to be as good if not better.

  • Pros:  Lightweight, Dampening, Price
  • Cons:  None found!,

Experience:   This is a great, light board- it is similar to the Method (but not as good) in respect to weight. This board is crazy edge to edge! The graphics are sick and the price tag more than does this board justice...I demoed this earlier in the season and if I could find a 155 for a decent price, I would jump right on it to ride this baby next year!

  • Pros:  Responsive, FAST!!!!,
  • Cons:  Not playful, flex,

Experience:   Hello, Here's the scoop on the Slayblade. Pretty much feels and handles like a Burton Vapor but for a fraction of the cost. Light weight, fast as a bat out of hell. This thing truly shines if your number one goal is to reach Mach1 down a hill. Would not suggest for smaller mountains as you'll run out of room quick. Not fun for people who are freestyle oriented or are looking for a more versatile board. I can see this board being fun in a snowboard cross race. If you want to lock in and go scary fast, this board is for you. Edge hold you can trust. o yea floats well in pow no more than knee deep.
