"Uprise FTW! " 1/14/2011

  • Name: K2 Uprise Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Angled foot bed., Shock absorption. Easy in-n-out., Versatility through adjustability!
  • Cons:  Tricky to dial in the set up. ,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   For starters, I LOVE these bindings! It can be very tricky to dial in the settings at first, but once you do it's perfect. You get the two strap control and feel with a one strap binding. The binding is pretty flexy, but stiff enough to keep everything in order if you land in the backseat, or miss your transition and land hard. The combo of a quick in and out, and a supportive/forgiving flex makes these bindings perfect for laps in the park. I use these on my Arbor draft and the set up feels solid and super fun to thrash around. One of the biggest reasons I love these bindings is for their versatility. When I mount these babies on my bluebird, change the angles, and angle the high-backs forward (which, by the way, is super easy to do) and all of a sudden I've got a binding i feel comfortable charging in and throwing out some serious carves. I don't really understand how they can free-ride as well as they do while being a flexy binding, but they are just killer all around.

"k2 uprise" 12/7/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: K2 Uprise Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  angled foot beds, shock absorbing,
  • Cons:  no toe ratchet , strange in/out,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   I demoed these bindings at a '11 line on-snow demo last January. Once on and properly adjusted, the bindings were great. I have bad knees, so the angled foot beds helped take some of the pressure off my knees while riding and also helped me feel a bit more control over boards with reverse camber (which I was also demoing for the first time that day). The idea is that you are to adjust your toe strap at the the start of the day and then twist your foot into place each time you get off the lift. Personally, I like to ratchet my bindings pretty tight and with this system I felt like I couldn't do so without sitting down and totally readjusting my toe strap...which was time consuming. If you're thinking about these bindings I highly recommend you try to demo these bindings first. If you don't mind the unique in/out, then you'll love them.

Why give it only two stars if you only demoed the binding and think there akward to adjust at first, once you get them dialed in there awesome!

"Absolutely Love" 1/27/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: K2 Uprise Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Auto Strap, Harshmellow footbed/hardwear cover,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I absolutely love these bindings. Once you get them adjusted they're super easy to get on and off. Very responsive binding, I'm an aggressive rider who enjoys slaying the park/pipe and big mountain runs, the uprise has never let me down. The harshmellow foot bed is great at dampening icy landings and provide all day comfort. The ankle strap is also very comfortable, doesn't bind or pinch.

"Uprise Very Comphy!" 11/25/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: K2 Uprise Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Forgiving, Solid, Versitile
  • Cons:  Setup,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   I recently Bought these bindings. They are the perfect setup for me! I can ride them anywhere, Jumps, Powder, grooms, All of it! The harshmellow tech is great, helps with reducing vibrations and absorbing lands for large jumps. The canted footbed really helps with the absorbing as well. Has a high back. My only problem with these was when i first started it took me a few runs to get the set up right and it took me like half a day to get used to getting in them, but once you get all that down they ride like a dream. I will never go back to normal bindings. LOVE EM'!!
