"Sweet Beginners Board" 1/24/2012
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Lamar Tripper Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  Solid Board, Speed , Works well in Park
  • Cons:  Needs more Flex, Hard to Handle on Ice,

Experience:   This is my first board and I like it a lot. This is my second season riding it and its holding on. I got it used for $50, so for me it is way worth the price. All my friends have $600 boards made by Sierra and Burton which are way nicer than this board, but when its time to race down the mountain this board keeps up. I noticed that I have a harder time controlling on icy days than my brother does and this board is really stiff, BUT for a first board, I strongly recommend it for everyone.

  • Cons:  limited use, binding holes,

  • Name: Lamar Tripper Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  Cheap, Rides well,
  • Cons:  Edges rust quickly, Top scratches easily,

Experience:   I bought this to replace my starter board after it de-laminated. I was able to get it cheap on clearance this summer and it is a step up from my cheap board I had before.

"Solid board for starting out" 12/6/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Lamar Tripper Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  Cheap, Durable, Gets the job done
  • Cons:  Grow out of it quick,

Experience:   This board was one of the first boards I ridden, and I can say it's really easy to progess on -which serves as a con as well, since you would most likely want to pick up another snowboard to progress better as a rider. It's cheap too.
