The Lib Tech ExperiMENTAL Division has been secretly developing "Banana Technology" for the past two years and has arrived at another major step in the development/evolution of a truly functional snowboard geometry. Banana Technology, like Magne-Traction before it, begins with the premise that a snowboard is not a ski. Banana Technology replaces camber with rocker "banana" between your feet. When you stand on your board, pressure is now applied inward to the edge area at and between your feet as your weight presses out the rocker. The Banana Technology flex pattern is slightly stiffened at the tip and tail to increase pop and stablity on big landings. Magne-Traction is in... More ?

"skate nana happiness" 10/5/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Lib Technologies Skate Banana MTX
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  High Speeds,Low Speeds,Park,Powder
  • Pros:  handles any terrain very well, kills from pow to ice, very forgiving
  • Cons:  top sheet is kinda budget,

Experience:   I love my nanner, I will never get a non reverse camber board again. It is so much fun and feels very stable. My first run was kinda squirrley but after that I trust it and it is very forgiving. the top sheet scratches or splinters off kind of easily, but the board is too much fun on the entire mountain to complain!

"Go BLUE BANANAS!!!" 4/9/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Lib Technologies Skate Banana MTX
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Carving,Groomers,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  Easy to carve, poppy, Stable at high speeds, Popular model, Strong edgehold, Great value, Popular on mountain, Soft, Well known brand
  • Cons:  Top sheet scratches, Low quality

Experience:   I've ridden on plenty of boards but nothing compares to the Skate Banana. Hands down this is the best board I've ever ridden on. I'm 5'8" and weigh about 155lbs so the 148cm board was very easy and fun to throw around. This is definitely an all around board. It handles great at high speeds (even in powder and slush) and very stable w/ strong edgehold. It's is very easy to press on and it practically butters by itself. It also has good pop for big jumps. The blue and green scheme is sooo steezy!!!

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Lib Technologies Skate Banana MTX
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Jumps,Powder,Rails
  • Pros:  Durable, Stable at high speeds, Popular model, Strong edgehold, Popular on mountain, Well known brand
  • Cons:  Not the most ideal for aggressive carving, in my opinion.

Experience:   Everybody should get on this board at least one time. I enjoy this board more everytime I ride it. My favorite thing is that because of the rocker, it is equally as good in the fresh as it is in the park. Not my favorite board for steep groomers, but it does add a new element of fun to every other type of terrain.

"lib tech skate bannana" 1/14/2008
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Lib Technologies Skate Banana MTX
  • Pros:  the skate bannana is my choice for an all around fun day of shred sledding. I skateboard therefore i want a snowboard thats going to ride like one. magni-traction domminats on the boxes, it will lock you into board slides like no other board i have rode. i recomend a shorter board with the bannana for the ultimate park experince. if getting gnarly is your style the bannana will be your wip for twenty zero eight.
  • Cons:  one con i have is that the ladies will see you killing the park and, you cant find a stick big enough for beating them off.

"Skate Banana" 1/8/2008
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Lib Technologies Skate Banana MTX
  • Pros:  This board kills the entire mountain, I have always had a board for going fast and a bit of park (160 mtx) and a pow board (160 mullet w/mtx). Since buying a 156 banana I havent hopped on the other 2 boards once. This board kills the pow, destroys the park, and goes super fast. All of my future boards are going to be bananas.
  • Cons:  Once you ride this you may never want to ride another snowboard.
