Sierra Says: Exactly what Line says. The Mothership could not be any more stable and powerful, but somehow it manages to be amazingly maneuverable. If you have ever had the desire for a ski with more power to punch through crud while straight-lining out the bottom of a chute, the Line Mothership will not disappoint. Don't be intimidated by the 111mm waist width. We've had multiple customers looking at getting a low 90mm waist width, all mountain ski that tried out the Motherships and bought them instantly. The versatility of this ski can not be questioned.

Line Says: Powerful, high speed, hard charging big mountain control and stability with a surprising amount of agility. From the hand crafted look of the Metal matrix and wood inlays to the one-of-a-kind feel, this big mountain ski is years ahead of it's time.

"Stern but fair" 11/4/2009
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Line Mothership
  • Pros:  Powerful, Good float, Carves well
  • Cons:  Fairly heavy,

Experience:   The Mothership absolutely crushes all conditions. It is truly surprising how well a 111mm waisted ski can carve. Using this ski as an everyday Tahoe ski for over a year, the Mothership is the most stable crud busting ski that I've ever ridden. You may have to do a little driving with this ski, but whatever you put into it, it gives back.

"BIG MTN. CHARGER" 11/28/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Line Mothership
  • Pros:  Real METAL-MATRIX, Wood Inlays, Early RISE
  • Cons:  none,

Experience:   The MOTHERSHIPS stand up to their name for sure. They are BIG & BAD and designed for any BIG MTN. terrain you point the down. They are very powerful and stiff due to the METAL MATRIX that was incorporated under the top-sheet that acts as a high speed dampener. Which makes them great for sticking big drops and holding your edge while straight lining out of big chutes!

"Another ski" 11/17/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (3) No

  • Name: Line Mothership
  • Pros:  good flotation,
  • Cons:  not good if the snows not deep., Groomer. no way,

Experience:   The ski is somewhat lifeless underfoot whereas other skis seem way lighter and snappier even the powder. And then on the firm conditions it just chatters and shimmy's its way down to the lift.

"bad ass for bad asses" 11/17/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Line Mothership
  • Pros:  powerful ski, big mtn destroyer, solid construction
  • Cons:  stiff for wimpy skiers, nothing smaller than a 185,

Experience:   a real big mtn ski. still turns unlike most skis made for big mtn. If you like to charge and actually make some turns, this is a good ski to consider
