Marker Griffon

Sierra Says: For 2009 Marker had taken the bullet proof construction of the Jester 16 and made the Griffon and continued that bullet proof construction for 2010. The Griffon has all of the same attributes as the Jester but rather then a 16 DIN it only has a 12 DIN. One of the key features that Marker introduced with the Jester was the widened base plate making the Jester the first fat ski specific binding to be introduced on the market. With that same concept built into the Griffon this Marker binding is a sick option for any freeride or freestyle skier.

  • Name: Marker Griffon
  • Pros:  Large Brakes to fit around my Mantra's waist..., Easy in and out...,

Experience:   I Use these with my Volkl Mantra 191's and they have allways released in a crucial fall...I was recomennded this combo by SSB and I dig it. I used them with Dalbello Virus Tour Lite, Dalbello Krypton Pro's, and Nordica Speedmachine10. Versitle binding for All Mountain FreeSkiing All Condition Downhill Binding. Easy to use with poles too...

"Indestructable binding" 7/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Marker Griffon
  • Pros:  Very durable, Great looks, Low profile toe
  • Cons:  only 12 DIN,

Experience:   This is a great binding. I have these mounted on my Armada AR6's and they are perfect for nearly every situation I ski. The only downside is the 12 DIN, but that's only an issue if you're going REALLY big and need the extra release pressure (get the jester's if that's what you're after). For park applications or all mountain skiing, you can't beat this binding.

"Easy binding" 7/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Marker Griffon
  • Pros:  Easy in and out, Fairly light, Low cost
  • Cons:  Colour,

Experience:   I have a new set mounted to my line 10-11 afterbangs, so far I really like them. They are easy to get in and out of. They feel lighter then my buddies bindings. They can take park abuse. Best binding available for the price, at sierra.

  • Name: Marker Griffon
  • Pros:  easy in, look cool, sturdy
  • Cons:  din is lower,

Experience:   I demoed these a few times and they were like butter. Easy toe-cap to get on and they seem to pop off only when you need them. I must by for park skiers.

"Best binding for lighter skiers" 4/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Marker Griffon
  • Pros:  Light wieght, Extra wide toe piece, C.S.W.
  • Cons:  Only comes in white,

Experience:   This is the best overall bindings if you are under 200 pounds. It's super light and great if you ski park because of the centralized swing wieght and its so light. It's also great if your looking for a super responsive binding. Most bindings have narrow toe peices which means it takes the ski longer to get on edge but the griffon has a toe peice thats 76mm.

"Marker Griffon" 4/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Marker Griffon
  • Pros:  Neat compact unit, Reliable, Easy entry
  • Cons:  Needs a wide ski, 12 DIN means lighter skier,

Experience:   My teenage son has been using these bindings on his Volkl park skis for last season and they have worked very well. His skis are trashed, but the bindings have survived very well and will migrate to this year's purchase.
