Sierra Says: The Misfit is a big-mountain freestyle board for the experienced rider. This board is stable at high speeds, holds a killer edge, and is all about backcountry freestyle with its original shape. If you are looking for a performance board with freestyle abilities, this is the board for you.

Nitro Says: The Misfit is not your typical deck- it’s a directional twin with a powder nose and tail designed for all mountain rippage. The stretched nose and tail design enables you to pull switch spins and stomp powder landings without diving under. Combined with our new sintered speed formula base for hauling ass and barging big terrain at will. The misfit was designed for the rider who learns a trick in the park just so they can take it to the backcountry and adapt it to high speed gaps and big mountain drops.

Base color may very.

  • Name: Nitro Misfit
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Off Trail,Powder,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Carves a rut..Chatter free., Excels on big mountain terrain.., High quality base and finish
  • Cons:  Will slam you if youre not on your game., Can't imagine jibbing/park, Hard to press.

Experience:   Great edge hold-- holds a line in tight areas. You can carve a rut. stiff--This is a powerful/solid deck, Will slam you if you're not paying attention. Fast--did not see a speed it didn't like --does not chatter. Base holds wax very well, Its still shiny after 3 days. Rides longer than it is and is probably as stable as a 164. fun in pow. (Directional twin) shines at speed. Priceless tearing past angry skiers at Vail I tried to press it and had some issues---its stiff Would not recommend to weaker/5 day a year riders. Spins well in pow(Has some weird nose tech) It just snaps/accelerates out of turns like my t6. the pop is insane..Camber is and always will be where the pop is at. Final thoughts: Don't hesitate to buy nitro. This is a superb big mountain freestyle deck. The quality and performance are both there

Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Nitro Misfit
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  High Speeds,Powder,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  very light, good pop, twin like shape
  • Cons:  little too stiff torsinally, wide size may be too much for some,

Experience:   My personal take on this deck isn't all good and not all bad. I definetly liked the top sheet, a big plus. Now some more of the good ... surprisingly good in choppy conditions and deep snow. Another plus it can hold a carve on the steeps with no chatter but once you take it on slower or flatter hard pack terrain the lack of momentum makes real hard to inticiate the toe & heel edges. Actually that was my only complaint and that make the board a little less versitile for some riders. I would end my opinion by saying it's a good option for an advance rider who wants a twin like shaped board to ride switch with no problem in the backcountry like it's a resort run.

  • Pros:  Amazing Edge Hold, Super Stable at High Speeds, Great All Mountain Board
  • Cons:  Stiff for Beginner/Novice Riders,

Experience:   Super fun board to ride. This board shines at high speed super stable chatter free. A little stiff for rails/boxes but has tons of pop off the kickers. Overall great for All Mountain/Freeride/Backcountry/Tree runs/Groomers.

  • Pros:  Super fast., very nice graphics, Insanely light.
  • Cons:  Stiff, ding easy.,

Experience:   This deck is light, yet it's pretty stiff. However, Pressing is not impossible. With this sintered base, it can go hyper speed. This deck flows pretty well in POW; though not as good as my Team Gullwing.

What type of snow condition did you ride it on? Did it ever slip out or felt wobbly at high speeds?

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Nitro Misfit
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Good pop, Good edge hold for icy conditions, No chatter at high speeds
  • Cons:  Not for rails, Topsheet chips easy, Stiff

Experience:   This board is awesome. I currently ride Misfit 158.6W. I was surprised on how much pop this board had. I was jumping higher and go faster with this board. The faster you go on this board the more you feel in control. I mainly ride groomed ski resorts and I was comfortable riding blacks, blues, and park trails. This board was great for switch riding. However this board did have a few cons. I would not try this on rails. This boards chips easily so beware. This board was stiffer than I thought but it did not matter to me. In all this is a great board for all mountain shredding.
