Sierra Says: The Rook is a new addition to the Nitro family and is an upgraded park stick. It has a mid-soft flex and twin shape, but has a lighter stronger core and a sintered base. In addition, it has impact plates under the bindings and extra thick edges to survive the abuse of everyday park riding. Although it is not difficult to ride, we recommend the Rook for the experienced freestyle guy that needs a reliable and performance-oriented park board.

Pros: easy to press (buttery), great pop on jumps, stable on landings
Cons: high speeds it gets a little shaky,

Experience: I had the opportunity to ride the 2010 rook last season for about 5 days on the snow. Rode it in conditions ranging from hardpack groomer day, slush park lapping days and a 2ft+ pow day. On the icy day it made for a little shakiness at higher speeds but for a park board it handles quite well. On the slush days, it was outright amazing, fun in all aspects of the park, jibs great, jumps well and is stable in the pipe. What amazed me was the powder day on this board, i was riding the 155 and had no problems keeping a float and i still had the bindings mounted centered.

Experience: Rode this for over 12 days, everything from powder, groomers and park. Rode 155, which is a bit longer than what i normally ride (152) but since this was my all mtn board, it was the perfect size. Did very well in powder, the tips are tapered, which made it lighter to easier to keep up. Did very well on groomers! The board's zero camber let me keep fast speeds and wasn't to grabby on edges. In the park, has good pop for jumps and flexible for jibs. I haven't tried pressing too hard, but its definitely a board that has give. The top sheet is very sturdy as i've been pretty hard on it with my travels. Its definitely a great board for anyone that is looking for an all mtn board.

Experience: If you're looking for a park board this is the BOARD, packed with quality futures and performance I would take this board over any for my park days. Do make sure you dial in the edges as they are beeffffy. I learn how to really have fun and play around the mountain with this board. It makes it really easy to do it all.

Pros: Zero camber , Twin tip, sick graphics
Cons: could have a little more flex,

Experience: This board has been able to handle everything i've thrown at it. I like the zero camber the best. Unlike previous experiences that i've had with reverse camber it stayed stable at high speeds and it was able to carve with ease and hold its edge in ice. It is labeled as a park board but i would say that you can use it all over the mountain. The only thing about it was that i expected it to be a softer board for being a park board, dont get me wrong though it still has enough flex for those butters and presses. Just wont be as easy for someone trying to learn them on this board. Overall a really solid board

Cons: little stiff at first,

Experience: Rode this board for 2 seasons. Really holds an edge in all conditions. The long and tail make it float in the plow real easy. Edges are really beefy. Butters are easy because of the zero camber, but the flex is a little stiff (until you break it in). Overall, I love this board and would recomend it to anyone

Cons: full speed it can get a little chatter,

Experience: Great middleground between camber and reverse, easy to press and butter and plenty of pop for kickers, stable on landings, would buy 2011 model with new carbon beam as mine is looking a little worse for wear now

Experience: I just had this board out for 2 days in heavy spring snow. I'm a park novice, but this board was easy to press, and has great pop. None of that was a surprise to me. What was a surprise was how stable the board was at speed, and how well it did in heavy snow. This board carves like a champ too. Nitro has it listed as a park board, but it's much more all-mountain capable than I was expecting. I'm really stoked on this board.

Experience: This board is very versatile. It's not super soft and definitely not super stiff. Being my first non camber board, it has the ability to butter better than the stiff, cambered board I was riding before. I haven't had much chance to take it high speed yet but in terms of fun, it seems to be very well executed.
