Nitro T1

Sierra Says: The T1 is one of Nitro's flagship models and is the board of choice for many dedicated park riders. This board is ideal for the guy that spends a majority of the day turning tricks and needs a reliable, mid-flexing twin to yield in the park.

Nitro Says: The T1 has become the most popular twin in our line, because of its versatile skate influenced shape and new softer flex. With the new low camber, the T1 is easy to press, but still has enough pop to rifle off tricks and not fold in the landings. Another upgrade on the T1 is the rail killer edge to aid in the hard impact on all types of rails. The T1 has proven itself in multiple board tests and also comes in a wide version.

Experience:   i would like to take this time to say never again will i buy a p.o.s burton board, this board is hella sick, and has an awsome all around feel.and its like 150 bucks or something like that now. so worth it.

Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Nitro T1
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Halfpipe,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  Softer Flex, Great Warranty, Lasts FOREVER!

Experience:   The Nitro T1 is without a doubt one of the best boards in the industry hands down. Want proof? I have put over 80 days on mine, and I am still riding the damn thing! From urban settings to kickers, to the halfpipe, I have never found a board I like better as an all around board. Soft enough to stick onto the rails, and throw up decent presses (See my profile picture) the T1 remains stable at high speeds, and is super stable off the jumps. sure other boards my be softer, and others may be more responsive, but non excel all around the park like the T1. Nitro has a great warranty if you ever run into issues (I haven't, but I once needed to contact them for a customer) Wherever I go, my T1 is in my quiver.

  • Pros:  Easy to Turn, Good All Over, Stable

Experience:   The 2010 Nitro T1 with Zero Camber. Is actually a good all round board for most conditions. It is also excellent in the park as that is its actual design. Not the best in deep powder but OK. Good in most other situations.

"Great board for progression" 1/4/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Nitro T1
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  High Speeds,Park,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Pop, Great for large sweeping turns, light and great for presses
  • Cons:  Not as good for small turns,

Experience:   I am a beginner-intermediate in the park and intermediate-advanced on groomers. First thing everyone will notice with this board is the amount of pop it has. I could feel the pop coming out of turn and the edge holds very well making large sweeping turns. The board is also very easy to swing around and incredibly light. Definitely gave me an additional 30-60 degrees of rotation from my previous ride agenda. Pressing is really easy on this board too. Only thing that troubled me in the beginning is that it seemed to catch edges a little easier than my old cambered board when on flats. For an intermediate rider that is trying to progress to the next level of park riding or all mountain, this board is great at giving you the confidence yet being forgiving enough to allow for more and more progression in both park and all mountain.

"High quality for a better price" 6/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Nitro T1
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Park,Powder,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Low camber design, meaty edges, poppy!
  • Cons:  Limited sizing,

Experience:   I jumped at the chance to purchase this board when it was around $150. Glad I did--it's light, flexy, has great pop and still just enough camber to handle powder if you want it to. The edges are at least twice as thick as any of my other boards, which should help on rails. My only complaint is the lack of larger sizes, but this board is designed more for the park, so it's a minor complaint at best. Pick one up and see for yourself!

"Great Board" 4/5/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Nitro T1
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Halfpipe,Jibs,Jumps,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Twin tips and great pop, It's a NITRO, Comes in wide sizes
  • Cons:  A little rough at high speeds,

Experience:   First off, my friend had an older model of the T1 that I rode two years back and I completely fell in love with it. So, I decided that this year I would snag up the latest model for myself. I fell in love all over again; this board is great for any freestyle rider and not too bad at all on the rest of the mountain. Twin shape is perfect for coming into and out of the tricks switch and the board has amazing pop. I feel like I can olly over anything and I hardly have to pop off the lips on jumps to get plenty of hangtime! Oh, yeah, and it comes in wide sizes so, for riders with moster feet like myself, we don't have to worry about dragging and catching out heels and toes. The only con that I can think of is at high speeds on ungroomed trails it can get a little out of control, but this isnt a freeride backcountry board so that's kinda unfair to negate. Overall a sweet board for itermediate to advanced riders who want something that can gnar up the park like no other and hold it's own on the slopes as well.

  • Name: Nitro T1
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,High Speeds,Jibs,Jumps
  • Pros:  Firm but Soft, Excellent Warranty,

Experience:   I almost bought a Burton Custom V-Rocker, but instead I decided to buy a Nitro T1; I am very happy with my purchase. The T1 is stiff enough for riding at high speeds, while also offering enough flex at the tips for the riding in park. Now with a price of $122.99, the board is a steal! Better get one before its gone!
