Sierra Says: The Team Series captures pieces of every riding style and combines them into a jack of all trades snowboard. Catch pillow lines in the morning and lap the park when it gets chopped up. Take first chair to the peak and carve the corduroy on your way to the Stash. Everything is fair game with the Team. This board is stable at any speed, is responsive without being too catchy, and is not too difficult to ride. Plus, the new Gullwing reverse-camber design adds a whole new element of playfulness. This board is probably too aggressive for most beginners, but any solid intermediate or advanced rider should have no problem shredding this one around the mountain.

"Great Board" 12/25/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Nitro Team Gullwing
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Jumps
  • Pros:  Exteremly soft, Good edge hold,
  • Cons:  Little heavy,

Experience:   This is my firt reverse camber board. Got it last march on a great sale from sierra. I was surprised how well it works in the park on boxes and jumps. As for the problems with holding edges it has been fine so far, even in the land of the ice (IL, WI). Others mentioned speed, it is fast and even in some pow it was faster then my brothers (burton normal camber). On the other side, i did notice the weight difference from my other boards, but this is probably because i got the wide version. I would recommend this board as a park board that allows riding all around too. Oh, and the simple graphic is very nice, shows that you mean business :)

"Loosey GOosey!" 3/11/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Nitro Team Gullwing
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Powder,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Fantorgasmical Looks, Very loose feeling, Very fast!
  • Cons:  Not as stable as I thought, Non Centered Stance,

Experience:   Lemme just say that this board really looks awesome. The topsheet is crazy good looking, subtle yet done artfully. Unfortunately though, this board doesn't inspire much confidence. The reverse camber in the middle makes the board rather loose in the middle, and it's hard to turn aggressively (I have the wide version though). The board however, is very fast.. I found myself going faster than skiers going down straight.

"Holy Rocker" 2/21/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Nitro Team Gullwing
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Off Trail,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Very light, Presses easy, Floats well in pow
  • Cons:  Rocker is very pronounced, Could use a bit more pop (but still fun),

Experience:   Super fun light deck. It floats very well in pow.It has a really fun playful feel to it, you will never catch an edge on this thing. I use it a my pow, all mtn. board, it has some built in setback so not the best park deck. It will work in the park for sure, just not my first choice. Over all I'm stoked to be on it. Oh, and visually this thing is insane, great shape and art....I like! (Borat)

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Nitro Team Gullwing
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Jumps
  • Pros:  flexible, fast, light

Experience:   i only used it to free ride with some jumps but i have to say its pretty good at that. i had some initial issues with getting used to it and how it can be hard to turn hard, but all the positives definitely out weight that one con. its great for jumps as its light and flexible. great speed will help with jumps too. all in all, its a great board.

"Nito Team Gullwing" 2/10/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Nitro Team Gullwing
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Powder,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Stable, Easy to Turn, Good in Powder

Experience:   This is a very nice all mountain snowboard. The Gullwing camber makes turning easy but the board has excellent edge hold. It is good on ice but also very nice in pretty deep fresh snow. Good for most uses but a bit stiff for jibbing.

"RAD!!" 11/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Nitro Team Gullwing
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Park,Powder,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Super fast!!, Easy to ride, nice pop, Rips every part of the mountain

Experience:   I picked up this board last season and it was my first reverse/combo camber board. Nitro have found a sweet balance with their gullwing design which gives you noticeable benefits in all conditions without sacrificing too much high speed stability. And this board is FAST!! On one run I ride which unfortunately finishes with a particularly long, almost flat run-in back to the lift I was one of the only riders who didn't have to release the back foot to push home. With the right wax job, the base just runs and runs even at low speeds. Ive ridden this board all over the mountain, from groomers to back-country pow, and hit plenty of kickers. Its super easy to ride and confidence inspiring in any conditions. Lastly the board looks mean, the black on black top sheet graphics are awesome but subtle. I would definitely recommend this board to anyone from lower-intermediate to advanced who was looking for a do-it-all board to improve their skills and confidence. I love it.

"Fast and floaty" 3/17/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Nitro Team Gullwing
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Off Trail,Powder
  • Pros:  FAST!!!, Stable, Floaty
  • Cons:  kind of too loose feeling, until you are used to it,

Experience:   This board is fast!! It is also stable and floaty feeling. I tested it on groomers and through some smaller moguls. It has a strange floaty/ loose feeling that at first is a little unsettling. because the board wants to GO! But, after riding it for a few runs I got used to the feeling and found that it was actually really stable, just fast and kind of loose feeling. It almost feels like U have to try to turn it, but you really don't need to put that much effort into it. I didn't get a chance to try it in any fresh snow, but I bet it would be great in powder (it just has that feel about it). I would really like to get on it for an entire day, esp on a nice pow day and see how it handles in the deep stuff.

"Pretty good ride" 3/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Nitro Team Gullwing
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  High Speeds,Off Trail,Park,Powder,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Stable, Good pop, Lightweight
  • Cons:  Too loose, Not good at slow speeds,

Experience:   I got the 159W and I must say, this thing is light for being this big. The base is pretty fast and durable and took wax without much of an issue. I rode this on hard packed snow and ice and the board handled it very well. The board was a little too loose feeling at points due to the rocker but gripped hard when you needed it. This thing presses real easy as well because of the gullwing. There was no lack of pop either, I could launch this thing off anything. I found myself not liking the board at real slow speeds, it really comes to life once you get going. A very solid deck for someone looking for an all mountain board.

"Fun, fast and Loose" 3/9/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Nitro Team Gullwing
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Park,Powder,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Playful feel, Light weight, Fast base
  • Cons:  Can feel a little loose in the tail,

Experience:   This is a first impression review of the Nitro Team Gullwing. I matched this up with some Burton Cartels and hit the slopes. The first thing I noticed was that the board was a medium flex, and when paired with Nitro's Gullwing, made it feel very playful. Since it was early in the day I cut first tracks in the groomers, where it had very good edge hold. The only thing I noticed after a few runs was that the tail would get a little loose and wash out if you weren't paying attention. Other than that, it's light, fast and fun, which are all very good things.

"MMM MMM GOOD" 3/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Nitro Team Gullwing
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Powder,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Great pop, Awesome side cut, floats well, carves well, Looks great, love the gullwing
  • Cons:  Really wide, need to get used to it.,

Experience:   Only have put a couple days on the new set-up. This is a first impression review. Board looks awesome, top sheet looks great w/out being flashy. Compared to my '08 Youngblood, this board is much more comfy going fast down the groomers. . I weight 190* and the 159w floated the recent 8 we got here in AZ beautifully.
