"Oakley Oil Rig Sun Glasses" 11/24/2011
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Oakley Oil Rig Sunglasses
  • Pros:  Look Great, Block out tons of sun,
  • Cons:  Fit a little small on my head,

Experience:   I love these glasses and have had them for about a year now, not only do they look great but they function great by blocking all the sun out of your eyes. They did fit a little small on my head but my head is larger, so if you have a 'normal' sized head you should have no issue. Also, keep the glasses case, it will protect the lens and doubles as a claner, replacement lens costs are high and nobody wants scratched lenses anyways!

  • Name: Oakley Oil Rig Sunglasses
  • Pros:  Oakley lenses, blocks out a lot of light,
  • Cons:  can fit weird for asian faces,

Experience:   One big gripe i always have about oakley is that they stay on by pinching your head, vs hooking around your ear. Because of this, sometimes your head near your ears can get sore from the constant pressure. other than that, sweet shades, they block out tons of light and have the awesome oakley lenses. You can always pop them out and get different lenses if you want too

"Oakley." 1/8/2012
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Oakley Oil Rig Sunglasses
  • Pros:  Awesome lenses. , Feel strong.,
  • Cons:  Fog up sometimes., Heavy.,

Experience:   I'm a lifeguard, so these Oakley's shades are an essential because of their high quality. I have bought one pair so far, polarized, and they are awesome. They have a wide peripheral view, which is awesome. You can hardly notice the frames unless you look to the far right or left. Also, I don't know how cool it would be to vent these lenses or something, but they DO tend to fog up from time to time. The lenses seem strong and haven't chipped or scratched even with everyday use. These glasses are a bit heavier then most sunglasses but also feel very sturdy and strong. These glasses are so great, I would seriously buy like 7 more pairs. Just get them customized because you can create some awesome shades and stand out from the many others with this same pair of sunglasses.

"On the oil rig..." 10/29/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Oakley Oil Rig Sunglasses
  • Pros:  Stylish, Optical quality,
  • Cons:  A bit wide for a normal noggin,

Experience:   These have become my go-to-shades for après ski and otherwise stomping around in the great outdoors. While a bit on the wide side (maybe I have a narrow head) I can't complain about the clarity that they bring in all kinds of light. Transitioning from sun to shadows is a non-issue with these glasses. Overall, me gusto!

"Oakley Oil Rig Worth The Price?" 1/26/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Oakley Oil Rig Sunglasses
  • Pros:  Very Stylish, UV Protection, Durable
  • Cons:  Expensive, Fogs Up Easily, Uncomfortable after long periods of time

Experience:   I bought these sunglasses back in 2009. They've held up great so far. When you first pick these up you'll know these are a quality pair of sunglasses. I've dropped these numerous times and still nothing happens to them, not even a tiny scratch. Every time I wear these bad boys everyone says they look like The Terminator shades. You know your getting high quality stuff when purchasing from Oakley, and the UV protection on these are bar none. Another perk of these shades is sun doesn't leak into them from the sides. So you protected from all angles when looking. After having these guys for 3.5 years you realize they aren't flawless. One of the first things you look at when deciding to purchase something is the price. I paid retail and I think i got my moneys worth. The cool thing with Oakley is they hook you up with a year warranty with the purchase, so if something goes wrong you can send them back and you'll get a new pair or they'll fix them. Another issue with these shades are over time they fog up pretty easily. Luckily, the Oakley bag/traveling case they give you can fix this up within a couple seconds. It's just a little annoying when your driving, but not something to make or break a purchase. My final con of the oil rigs are the way they fit my face. I noticed after wearing them for around 30 minutes or so, you'll get a noticeable red spot around the upper nose from the pressure the glasses put on the nose. If you can try these on for a little in a store I would highly recommend it. Not everyones face is the same, and if your shelling out this kind of money it better be worth it. I would recommend these sunglasses to a friend and I think their worth the price.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Oakley Oil Rig Sunglasses
  • Pros:  Fit, Quality, Weight
  • Cons:  Price, Fog up,

Experience:   I absolutely adore these sunglasses. They fit my like no other and even dont slide off when I am sweating. Even though they are expensive I feel like they are worth it, I even bought a second pair when I ran over my first pair. They are great for snowboarding in the spring as they dont make me hot, and also great for skating in the sun, as they are not likely to slip off of your face. If they keep fogging up in the winter use some toothpaste on the lenses, or buy some antifog and that one flaw in these amazing sunglasses will be fixed.

"Sick Glasses" 3/20/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Oakley Oil Rig Sunglasses
  • Pros:  Great UV Protection, Fit Great,
  • Cons:  Expensive,

Experience:   I own these sunglasses and they are great! They fit great and are awesome for those really sunny days. They keep out the UV light and keep you from having to squint all day. You can relax out in the sun with these on. Overall these are great sunglasses, the only down side is they don't fit snug to my head therefore i lost my original pair of them while i was out on a boat. We were just cruising along going pretty fast (Over 50mph) and they just blew right off my head. I ended up getting a new pair but i would watch out for that if your into boating. But aside from that these glasses are awesome!

"Oil Rig Black review" 2/17/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Oakley Oil Rig Sunglasses
  • Pros:  Comes with 3 sunglass cases, very unique looking - single lens look, 1 year warranty from Oakley
  • Cons:  Expensive,

Experience:   These are some really dope looking shades. There's a nice snap when you open the arms of the glasses unlike other glasses. I've owned these for about 6 months now and they seem to be pretty durable so far. I got some polarized lens which I would recommend. It comes with 3 microfiber carrying cases which can also be used to clean the lens.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Oakley Oil Rig Sunglasses
  • Pros:  Good Quality, Great Looks, Great Vision
  • Cons:  Fire Iridium lenses are prone to scratch,

Experience:   I have had these for about 1 and half years and absolutely love them. I have them with fire iridium lenses and i wish i could live with them on. Oakleys HDO technology is amazing and everything looks crispy and clear with them on.
