"Solid eyewear" 3/23/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Oakley Wisdom
  • Pros:  Interchangeable lenses, Good quality,
  • Cons:  Changing lenses could be easier,

Experience:   In the past 5 years, I've had no less than 4 pairs of Oakley snow goggles-- 3 Wisdoms and an A-frame. Like many, I've found the A-frame to limit peripheral vision. With the Wisdoms, I'm very satisfied. I've found that if you're careful with the lens surface, they'll last quite a long time without significant scratches. Most damage I've sustained is off the slopes, around the lodges, while loading/ unloading/ changing equipment. All 3 Wisdoms I have (3 for different lighting conditions) are over 3 years old and still in near new condition. They fit my Giro helmet well without additional straps; just a small opening on the sides of the eyes that allow wind in. These goggles only ever fog on the warmest days & only when stopped or going very slowly. Overall, I'm very satisfied with these

"Solid Goggles" 11/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Oakley Wisdom
  • Pros:  Rarely fog, Functionally great, Comfortable
  • Cons:  Don't look as great as other Oakley goggles, Harder to change lenses than other Oakley goggles,

Experience:   These are some awesome goggles. They may not look at cool as crowbars or splices, but they definitely do the job functionally. The only part I don't like about the design is that I feel they stick out of my face a lot more than my a frames or crowbars do. Fitwise, I am asian and I find they are just as good as my a frames. They do pinch my nose a bit when I wear them a little lower to seal off the gap between the foam and the bridge of my nose, but the exact same happens with my a frames. I have these with a bunch of different lenses. The only thing I have to say is that they are a lot harder to change than my crowbars. Maybe because they are newer, but I have a lot more trouble changing these lenses than my crowbars. All in all awesome goggles for the price.

"i miss these!" 2/18/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Oakley Wisdom
  • Pros:  large frames, fits wide and flat, wide field of view
  • Cons:  strap mount is tiny, no longer made,

Experience:   i love the wisdom goggles. they're wide and offer a great field of vision. They fit large and flat faces well too. I only had a problem with the strap mount because it was so small and flimsy that it didn't last more than two days on a helmet. I ended up getting a helmet strap instead.

"Goggles for a big head" 1/23/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Oakley Wisdom
  • Pros:  Almost totally fog proof, Fits well with helmets,
  • Cons:  Inside fog coating can scratch easily when wet,

Experience:   I bought these at the beginning of last year with the persimmon lens. They are quite a big goggle, fitting my enormous head quite well and confortably. No nose pinching either, at least on me. I recently purchased a clear lens for this goggle and while it was a bit of a pain snapping it in it really helped on those very cloudy days and of course at night, works perfectly. Be aware that the inside fog coating of these goggles is EASILY scratched if you wipe it while it's wet. This can be a pain if you yardsale and get some snow in there, you need to just let it evaporate, etc. I love these goggles and am looking to pick up a third lens or even a new pair altogether with the new lens for bright days (fire iridium).

"Wide View Point, Comfortable fit" 12/27/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Oakley Wisdom
  • Pros:  Good if you have a medium to large face, Iridium Lenses, Wide range of vision
  • Cons:  They are somewhat large, The connecting point between strap and frame,

Experience:   If you are a person with a face that is average to above average in size the goggle should fit you well. It is comfortable to wear, and in my opinion somewhat stylish. Whenever I wear this I feel like master chief from Halo because they are so bad ass. The goggles are wide and give the rider a great field of vision to work with. I have them with Iridium lenses which are gnarly at most times of day, especially night time. I am not sure what year my goggle is but with the speed that snowboard companies are progressing at these days I can only imagine the new model being better, especially at TruSnow's price. I urge you to buy this if you wanna look like a boss and not restrict your vision to a tunnel. Oh BTW the connecting point between the strap and frame doesnt have any issues, I just think they look somewhat goofy.

"Comfortable!" 12/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Oakley Wisdom
  • Pros:  Large field of view, Comfortable,
  • Cons:  Big for some helmets,

Experience:   Pressure from the straps are distributed over a wide frame, so if you're like myself and like to have a tight fit, these are great. However, with some helmets like the Bern Baker, it's a little big.

"Sick Goggles!" 11/25/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Oakley Wisdom
  • Pros:  Look Awesome, Good Price, Don't Fog
  • Cons:  Getting them too wet can ruin them,

Experience:   Overall I think these goggles are awesome. They look great and perform just as well. The only minor issue I have with them, and this probably goes for other goggles as well, is that if you get the lens too wet, the anti fog coating gets worn off and then the goggles will start to fog. It doesn't happen too easily, but you have to be careful.
