"Wrist guards" 12/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Protec IPS Wristguards - Men's
  • Pros:  protect wrists ,
  • Cons:  not completely reliable,

Experience:   I owned these wrist guards for a couple of years and they worked great. However, the actual splint can come out of the guard. This happened while i was riding and i ended up breaking my hand.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Protec IPS Wristguards - Men's
  • Pros:  Form fitting, Hard to notice,

Experience:   You'll be grateful to have wrist guards when you fall on your heel side or over jump a ramp. Protec wrist guards are cheap and function like any other wrist guard. They fit well under and are hard to notice by the look.

"you'll remember" 11/21/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Protec IPS Wristguards - Men's
  • Pros:  functional,
  • Cons:  bulky, restrictive,

Experience:   ...you're wearing these. I used these after a wrist injury incurred while mountain biking. I found them quite noticeable while wearing them, in a bad way. I did have occasion to test them while landing in some icy scrub and came out unscathed. I have since found a much more comfortable guard that also works great for mtb and moto, the evs wrist guard. I'd reccomend that one before this.

Comments & Questions

I just broke my arm boarding a week ago. I'll be out for 6 weeks. Would you recommend that evs guard for added protection when I come back with a vengeance?

enicma
Honestly, yeah... they're much lower profile, have adjustable protection and work great for moto/mtb as well.

  • Pros:  sturdy, comfy,
  • Cons:  don't fit under gloves, not low profile,

Experience:   seem more like rollerblade wrist guards if anything, tried them on at the shop. get the RED ones, they fit with most gloves and are very nice.

"Hard to use with gloves" 11/19/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Protec IPS Wristguards - Men's
  • Pros:  great wrist protection, not itchy like other types,
  • Cons:  hard to fit under gloves,

Experience:   As far as wrist protectors go these are great, but when it come to wearing gloves over them it's difficult. My gloves are small enough as it is, and with my wrist guards it, its neigh impossible to get my gloves on. Si I guess if you have small enough wrists and enough room in your gloves, these are perfect. I find it easier to simply wrap my wrists with athletic tape. It does the same job minus the amount of space being taken up.

"protecting yo wrist" 11/17/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Protec IPS Wristguards - Men's
  • Pros:  metal guard, comfy wrapping material,

Experience:   i got these not for snowboarding but for longboarding. ive used ones with a plastic guard in them but they werent as solid as these. the velcro holds well and the material wrapping your wrist is kindof a foamy stretchy material that is pretty breathable. get this if you have bad wrist from falling.

"Good protection" 11/9/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Protec IPS Wristguards - Men's
  • Pros:  Protection,
  • Cons:  Inner metal band moves,

Experience:   Bought them last season and felt the protection. If you have weak wrists or any previous injury I recommend them. The only drawback is that its inner material (a kind of metal band), which can be removed for washing them, sometimes moves out a bit from its place. I solved this problem sewing a velcro.
