"I like them" 4/9/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: RED Impact Wrist Guard
  • Pros:  affordable, true to size, slim
  • Cons:  straps are bulky, a bit too flexy, can kind of chafe the web of the thumb

Experience:   These are good slim braces. could be a bit more rigid but its enough for the casuall snowboarder who'd like some extra protection for the most vunerable part of his body, his wrists. You'll need looser fitting gloves to be able to wear these. The straps a bit a bulky. The quality seems pretty good, and i did test them out in a fall and while it did chafe my knuckle area a little, it protected my wrist well. Bought an extra for my cousin.

"effective wrist guards" 11/7/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: RED Impact Wrist Guard
  • Pros:  kept wrists safe from impact, fit under gloves well,

Experience:   Borrowed a pair of these this year when at the snow as I was still a beginner. They did the job and absorbed the impact effectively on my wrists but by the 3rd days i found i was at a stage where i was not falling on my wrists anymore, so their usefulness diminished and I didn't bother with them after. Also having wrist guards on makes even simple things like picking up your board or gripping onto a rails on the lift or lift queue a pain. They did do a great job on my first 2 days of learning though, especially the first :)

"No more wrists sore" 5/22/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: RED Impact Wrist Guard
  • Pros:  They do protect your wrists.
  • Cons:  They make your wrist movement a bit restrictive.

Experience:   When I catch an edge, I often fall... fast. Too fast to protect my wrists from the impact. As the result, I would have this sore on my wrists for days after snowboarding. But these guards have protected my wrists many, many times. One of my best purchases.

"good to have" 4/2/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: RED Impact Wrist Guard
  • Pros:  decent price. protects well. it's not like the hard wrist guards that can cause more harm than good.
  • Cons:  i still can't get them under my gloves, so i don't wear them much.

Experience:   i would recommend it to people with wrist issues or beginners.

"2009 red wrist guards" 3/24/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: RED Impact Wrist Guard
  • Pros:  comfortable, saves my wrists.
  • Cons:  the strap edges are sharp, they nick my gloves and my jacket, not easy to wear glove over it.

Experience:   im thinking of buying the protec ones because they have stiffer splints and more low profile

"RED is quality impact gear. " 3/2/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: RED Impact Wrist Guard
  • Pros:  I had the Dakine wrist guard for one day and they don't compare to these! These are a little more expensive than the Dakine wrist guard but the design is that much better. Comfortable and very protective. So comfortable that I keep forgetting the I had them on.
  • Cons:  A litte pricey compare to other brands.

Experience:   Great buy, you really get what you pay for.
