  • Name: Red Mutiny
  • Pros:  stylish,

Experience:   Had a giro helmet before this one. Like this one much more. Its is a bit lighter than my giro and looks way cooler. I wish someone would make an ultra light helmet!

I know the Red's do look better but for my head they don't fit right. I have to use a Giro. For my head shape Giro fits the best

"Great looking helmet" 12/3/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Red Mutiny
  • Pros:  low profile, comfortable, looks good
  • Cons:  audio (2009 version) is terrible,

Experience:   I decided to get a helmet when my girlfriend crashed hard (I insisted she get one). This really helps with my confidence as well, I'm surprised. It looks great, especially with my Oakley A-Frames. Thankfully I haven't been able to determine how well it protects my head, but I'm warm, comfortable, confident, and look good in them.

I forgot to mention that I have the red phones speakers and they fit and sound great in the helmet.

"There is no price for peace of mind!" 10/14/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Red Mutiny
  • Pros:  Peace of mind, good quality,
  • Cons:  none,

Experience:   My 2nd season with this helmet and it has never let me down. It's super comfortable, I forget it's on. My head is never too cold or too hot. It fits my oakley A frame perfectly. The graphic is great! looks very modern, and not too wild. Buy this helmet, you will not regret it!

"Slick, sturdy and stylish" 6/9/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Red Mutiny
  • Pros:  Sweet baseball design, Total comfort, sounds all 'round, Adjustable ventilation
  • Cons:  DON'T GET MATT WHITE, REDphones accessory can be pricey (NZ$80!),

Experience:   I got the Matt Black model after seeing a Matt White one that was on sale due to being shop soiled - if that's what happens in the shop, only get white if you plan on protecting your helmet more than your head! There are some other sick colors and even fabrics(!?) to choose from. From a practical point of view the helmet is solidly built and the Medium (54-57cm) fits my 57 head snug with no pressure points. The Goggle Gasket is a nice addition to avoid gaping between helmet and mask and adjustable ventilation ensures your skull stays fresh While the REDphones accessory is a bit expensive to have the option available was the clincher between a knock down 2009, sweet Green/Yellow and this year's Black- it's all about the audio baby, yeah!

"Buy it ig you like the style" 12/5/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Red Mutiny
  • Pros:  known brand, price if on sale,
  • Cons:  super easy to scratch the surface, i would not buy a matte white again,

Experience:   I have 57cm around my head, the M fits nice. I like it more without ear paddings and with beanie underneath. The matte white does scratch really easy, carrying sack for the helmet would be nice, to protect it while not wearing I don't like the color though, white is nice, but makes my head way bigger. I would buy a black next time

"Always Wear a Brain Bucket" 11/10/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Red Mutiny
  • Pros:  Comfortable and Warm, Handles Impacts Well, Protects My Head
  • Cons:  Brim Sometimes Gets in the Way, Goggle Strap Breaks Easily,

Experience:   For the longest time I didn't wear a helmet because I could never find one that had the three main things I was looking for; comfortable, warm, and not stupid looking. But once I saw and tried on the Red Mutiny helmet I knew that I would never ski again without a helmet, especially due to the fact that I ride park alot and don't want to get hurt. So just remember that its not always a bad idea to wear a helmet just in case.
