  • Name: Red Wrist Guards
  • Pros:  Small, Compact, Fit under glove

Experience:   I usually wear built in wrist guards in my gloves, but I found these on sale and love them. Before you buy them you should try them on because they have weird fits

"Wrist Guards" 1/5/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Red Wrist Guards
  • Pros:  light, thin,

Experience:   i bought this model a few years back when i was first learning. the first thing i noticed was that they were keeping my hands warmer due to the extra layer. but they never interfered with the glove fitment or anything that involved my hands. having experience with wrist guards for skating these were a definite improvement in manuverability. they might not seem sturdy but they will absorb enough damamge to support your wrists. I dont use them any more but they were great when i did use them. Whenever i help out new riders i let them borrow these wrists guards to help them feel safer when they fall.

"One of the best Accessories for Beginner" 8/11/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Red Wrist Guards
  • Pros:  Lightweight, comfortable, affordable,
  • Cons:  a bit soft,

Experience:   I used this wrist guard usually for east coast riding since there will be a lot of ice, good protential for pretty bad fall. This is a must for beginner to have as it will definitly make your day a whole lot better. The wrist guard is pretty comfortable, hardly noticed its there. It is lightweight, but however it may be a bit on the soft side. It does what you want it to do. Great buy!

"Decent wrist guard" 8/11/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Red Wrist Guards
  • Pros:  Light, Impact, Comfortable
  • Cons:  A bit soft,

Experience:   In my opinion, these are very light weight and comfortable wrist guards. They are a bit soft for my liking but it could be just personal preference, I feel more secure when I was using my Protec ones.

"A must for beginners" 5/14/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Red Wrist Guards
  • Pros:  Protects your wrists, Slim,

Experience:   I always recommend a good pair of wrist guards for people just starting off, its a natural reaction to stick out your arm when you fall over and having a pair of these could possibly save your season.

"Saved my bacon a few times" 12/28/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Red Wrist Guards
  • Pros:  Meh,
  • Cons:  Meh,

Experience:   I have the version from a couple years ago. I've tried these on and they are the same except for the color. I wouldn't go as far as to say I enjoy these, but they get the job done and give me plenty of wrist support. They fit under most gloves I'd say, unless you have particularly tight glove fit to begin with. On Dirty Dragon's comment that they don't seem that supportive, they are not as supportive as Dakine, Demon, or whomever else's rigid wrist guards. That's by design, as they are more comfortable and are less likely to displace a bad fracture up your forearm in case of a really bad fall. I much prefer them to any option I've tried on the market. I knocked off a star because they do hurt my hand a bit at the webbing between my thumb and index fingers occasionally on my left hand. I have a bit of a callous building up there because of them. Not sure if it's something about the hand or that particular guard, since I have no problems on my right hand. In the end, it's a pretty small price to pay.

"Worth It" 12/10/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Red Wrist Guards
  • Pros:  Light; Fit under a glove; Fairly priced,
  • Cons:  None,

Experience:   I bought a pair of the identical ones in 2004. Learned to snowboard in them. They might seem flimsy but do excellent job of protection. Never had any problems with my wrists, even though my wrists are extremely weak (example: can't play tennis and volleyball). I would recommend them to those who contemplate of acquiring a pair.

"Doesn't Seem Strong Enough" 11/23/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Red Wrist Guards
  • Pros:  Light,
  • Cons:  expensive, probably not going to work,

Experience:   I bough these for my fiancee. I own the da kine version of these, and i must say the dakines are much stiffer than these, i would not trust my wrists with these honestly.

"Good Wrist Guards" 11/23/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Red Wrist Guards
  • Pros:  Light Weight, Protective,
  • Cons:  Small,

Experience:   I have recently acquired these wrist guards. They're nice and work fine, but small. I have ordered the Large, but still it fits snug, sometimes gets in the way. All in all, good product.
