"Great All Around Board by Ride" 10/26/2012

  • Name: Ride DH2 Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Balanced, Light Weight, Inexpensive

Experience:   I have yet to find a board that has performed for me as well as the Ride DH2. I used to have a Standard DH and i noticed that the hybrid camber did not force the board to lose the pop and stability I was used to. Very solid underfoot like a traditionally cambered board, however the lowrise gives it a good float. This is just about the perfect board for me.

"Fun, Playful, Forgiving All Mountain Freestyle" 1/8/2013
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Ride DH2 Snowboard
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  Awesome Flex, Versatile Shape, Great Dampening
  • Cons:  Loss of Stability at High Speeds, Pop Could Be More Reliable,

Experience:   I've rode this board for a little over one season and I must say that this board is great for just about any type of terrain. The almost flat camber make it very playful and with the early rise tip&tail it floats amazing in powder. The combination of the membrane topsheet and slimewalls make it very light and make the flex amazing smooth. And the slimewalls absorb a lot of vibration and shock. It has a mediumish, slightly soft, flex. I think that the core profile makes it seem slightly softer than medium. The twin shape is perfect for any terrain from peak to park to pipe; all though I wouldn't recommend this board for super gnarly big mountain riding. Their are a couple things that this board is lacking. The first thing is that at high speeds it can be a little unstable, I think this is because of the flat camber doesn't hold an edge quite as well as a traditional camber board. The second thing is that this board has good pop but not great pop. When riding it in pow and hitting natural features the pop is much more reliable than in the park on man made features; mainly because the flat camber doesn't hold an edge or have as spring loaded POP! of a camber board. All in all the DH2 is a great all around board, it's my go to board and will literally stay in my quiver forever because it's surprisingly bombproof. If you ride a little bit of everything I recommend the Ride DH2 for sure.
