"rides like a caddy and handles like a imports...lol..." 11/1/2010

  • Name: Ride Fleetwood
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  really snappy, good pop in and out of turns, light whaight
  • Cons:  directional snowboard, a bit slow edge to edge, chatter at really high speeds

Experience:   love this board, I been riding for 2 years but in that short time I tried out several wide boards and this one feel like home to me. perfect balance on turns and good snap on jumps. I ride both goofy and standard so the directional cut on the board gats a bit awkward.

"Very Solid Wide Board" 11/3/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Ride Fleetwood
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Good Float, Durable, Perfect for big feet
  • Cons:  Very stiff, Shakey at high speeds, Terrible for park

Experience:   I picked this board up few years ago and it is holding up very well. I have size 11 boots, but am 5'8'', so am stuck in the awkward zone where most standard boards for my height and weight don't have a wide enough waist width. This board fills the gap nicely, as long as you know its strengths. It is great for groomers at mid-speed, and general all mountain riding. It has good float in powder due to the surface area. However, it is very stiff, which makes any park riding extremely difficult. The shape also seems to hurt it at high speeds. Overall a solid low to mid-level board for big-footers.

"Big Step Up" 1/28/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Ride Fleetwood
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Stable at low speeds, Good for bigger feet, Easy to spin
  • Cons:  Wide waist makes it sketchy when you get going fas,

Experience:   I went from a 162 (supposedly proper size) GNU to a 155 fleetwood and I'm 6'0 This board seriously opened up my park riding and made a huge difference with spins. I can pull a 3 way easier and 180 like nothing. Landing can be tough if your not perfect with the wide waist.

"Nice ride. Stiff enough but not too much more boxes." 11/29/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Ride Fleetwood
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  Fast. Solid. Strong. Wide.,
  • Cons:  Base seems to scratch easy. But I ride rocks.,

Experience:   I do mostly freeride, backcountry and park. And had been using old boards for the past 7-8 years. I thought they were all the same. When I first road this one it blew my mind. There really have been some serious advancements in the last 8 years. The wide base is great. It doesn't have too much flex at first but seems like it's slowly softening up.

"Amazing" 11/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Ride Fleetwood
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  speed, durability, well rounded cruiser
  • Cons:  stiff, non flexible, hard to cut on ice

Experience:   This is a great board, the only two problems are that it lacks the ability to dig in and turn on icy terrain. Also, it is not in the least bit flexible, but an overall amazing board.
