Sierra Says: The new Ride Machete can be considered a beefed up version of the Crush. This board will still have a similar twin shape, LowRize Rocker, and Radial BlendZ sidecut, but features some upgrades as well. These upgrades include a sintered Fusion 4000 base, lighter Performance Tuned Core, and carbon fiber additions. The addition of this tech gives the Machete a more versatile style when ridden outside of the park.

Experience: I got to borrow my friends 152 Ride Machete paired with Betas from two seasons ago. Conditions, ride on East Coast, was fairly hardpacked with a slight layer of edgeable snow on top. Overall, I enjoyed this board and the rocker was not quite as extreme as I expected. It is noticeable but nothing that makes this board feel loose. The first thing I noticed on this board was the great amount of pop. The board popped very well off the tail and I had no problems riding switch. Overall a mid-flex board that felt very stable on the groomers. Took it into the park for a run and it felt good off some small jumps. The only problem or dislike was when it came to jibbing. I would have liked something a little softer but its by no means impossible to hit rails with. In conclusion, this is a great board and would recommend it to someone who's looking for a good all around board that can hit the park and other parts of the mountain.

Experience: Got this board and fell in love! They should rename the board to just EPIC! It will go any where and preform on anything! Can't get enough of this board it makes snowboarding 10x more fun and you don't want to quit!

Pros: Good pop, Solid landings, Stable

Experience: Was trying to decide between the Ride Machete or going back to a lib tech/gnu board. The board was solid overall. I was happy with the pop off the board and it gave me a lot of confidence in landing jumps. Very forgiving while doing freestyle ground tricks. Presses were also really consistent. I was a bit worried about sliding out going to a reverse camber board, but since this is a really flat rocker the presses felt normal. The only real issue I had was the edge hold. I love MTX for its edge hold and ultimately decided to go back to it. If I could get 2 all mountain/freestyle boards this would be my second, but since I could only get one I went with the Travis Rice.

Pros: stable at high speed, good pop, quick edge to edge

Experience: I have the 2011 machete. It handles everything with ease, from extreme terrain to groomers. I've taken it through knee deep powder with no problem at all. For the most part it's stable at high speeds, but I've noticed it gets a little sloppy while really blazing down the mountain. I'm not a park rider so I can't really comment on that. Overall the Machete is a really solid board. I haven't encountered any problems with it so far.

Experience: Awesome board...mellow all around, can take it anywhere without issues. Lowrise helps with edge catching, and it basically rides much like a rockered version of the old dh2 - stable, mellow and fun.

Experience: During the winter I worked at a snowboard shop and was able to get the Pro-Form package deal where it had a limited edition graphic with LE contrabands and LE Dueces. After riding it the first day, I fell completely in love with the board! The best part about it was, I could ride it anywhere! I highly recommend this board, you will not regret the purchase of this amazing board!!

Experience: Got to demo this board and it was amazing. I could immediately feel my skill and confidence level jump through the roof. I'm used to riding a '09 Dominant of the same length, the Machete felt much lighter, poppier and more controllable. The Slimewalls hold an excellent edge on everything I encountered (much of which was icy) The flex is by far my favorite part, extremely flexy even right out of the wrapper. Extememly easy to press. Buy it, you won't be dissapointed.

Pros: Board has good pop, the 4000 base is really durable for rails, the lowrize rocker is good for pow
Cons: this board felt a little sloppy at times,

Experience: I liked this board for certain things. I took it thru the park a few times. locks into presses very easily. the lowrize rocker is flat between your feet giving stability for boardslides. Took it off a few tabletops and it really has great pop. I did feel during some of my approaches that the board was a little washy and I had to dig in to regain control, it wasn't anything I didn't get used to after feeling it out. I would not discourage anyone from purchasing this board.
