"Solid bindings" 2/17/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Ride RX
  • Pros:  Snug fit, Good control, Adjustability
  • Cons:  tweaking takes time, release tabs can stick,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I just got some of these from a winter clearance sale for a hair under $100. I was upgrading from some crappy 2004 Ride LS bindings, because I wanted something more comfortable and with a better fit. First off, the straps are super comfortable. The ankle strap is nicely padded, and the toe strap has some plastic webbing stuff that stretches to the shape of your boot when used as a toe cap. I really wanted something with a toe cap, and these work perfectly. They can also be used as top strap, which is nice if you like that. They also came with Ride Wedgie footbeds, which are a really nice feature. Makes it easier to be on your feet for long periods of time. There are so many adjustable positions on these things, it can take a while to find the best fit for you. Once I got my boot centered and the toe strap dialed in, I just had to adjust the forward lean, but it took me about an hour. Once I hit the slopes, I knew I had reached binding nirvana. These definitely have a great level of board control, and they are light as all get out. The only con I've seen so far is that the release tabs can stick. But, if you take a close look at them and see how they work before you get on the hill, you can figure out how to press them just right so they release every time. Overall, a great binding. Unfortunately, Ride doesn't make them anymore, but I hear the EX bindings are quite similar. Definitely a solid choice, and not one that you will have to worry about returning.

"solid bindings" 12/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Ride RX
  • Pros:  tough, good flex, simple
  • Cons:  slightly heavy, strap jams,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   very pleased with these bindings in durability and performance but the one thing that really comes to mind in the cons category is the fact that they can get jammed while trying to undo the strap and take a solid whack to loosen them.

"Best binding I've ever had." 11/24/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Ride RX
  • Pros:  Light weight , Aluminum frame, Easy to adjust
  • Cons:  Paint job doesn't last... so what. who cares!,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I don't understand why anyone wouldn't give these a 5 star rating. I've been riding the RX bindings for three seasons now and haven't had a single problem. They are great all train bindings. The ratchets work fine and they are metal with a large swing arm, which makes for easy operation and durability. The frame is aluminum so that mean is light and durable. Also any tweaking or customization you need do on them is so easy. I love the design and I would recommend these bindings or any of Rides bindings to anyone who wants to shred hard! What more could you ask for?

  • Name: Ride RX
  • Pros:  Wedge, good flex,
  • Cons:  toe cap hard to unlock,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Great bindings, super responsive and real comfortable due to its wedge technology. With all this said, the toe cap onb my left binding is real hard to unlock but i fell as is its wear and tear to be honest. Overall a great binding, i recommend it. 4/5

"Good For All Mountain BUT HEAVY" 7/2/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Ride RX
  • Pros:  Shock absorbant, nice highbacks , great control
  • Cons:  way to heavy,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Got these bindings for my season last year and was pretty satisfied. They really took the impact well of me learning how to hit bigger jumps. They also offered alot of control all over the mountain. I was really stoked until i felt one of my friends board and realized how heavy the bindings are so if your looking for a park binding you arent gunna find it here/
