"Works Great!! No Issues!" 4/11/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Ride VXn Womens
  • Pros:  Light, color combination, aluminum
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Helped a beginner find some bindings who was looking for something inexpensive and don't know why, but wanted Ride. So, chose these and she couldn't be happier. Easy in and out, ratchets slide easily, and worked great for her $50 Ride boots (don't remember the model.) She couldn't point out anything she didn't like, so good inexpensive binding for a beginner.

"OK" 3/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Ride VXn Womens
  • Pros:  Comfortable, light, easily adjustable
  • Cons:  Cheap screws, toe straps are too stretchy, questionable quality
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Been riding on VXn bindings since 2004 and have been a huge fan of the model. I decided to upgrade to the 2010 model for some of the newer features... Pros: Super comfortable and tool-less strap adjust make on the fly adjustments a breeze. Ratchets undo much easier than my older VXns, which is a huge plus... Cons: Toe strap material is very stretchy and I found my toes slipping out of the strap after only a few runs. I'm hoping this issue resolves itself once the binding is broken in. Also found myself having to tighten the connection between the baseplate and heel cup at the end of each day, which is something I NEVER had to do with my old bindings. Makes me question the overall quality of the screws... All in all, the 2010 model is a decent binding for the cost (purchased at 50% off), but questionable durability.

"Beginner Value Binding" 3/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Ride VXn Womens
  • Pros:  Ok responsiveness, Good value ,
  • Cons:  Ratchets flimsy,

Experience:   This is a good beginner binding. If you get it at 50% off or more, it's a great value. After 4 times of usage, one of ratchets spring is loose and so questionable durability.

"Try something else" 2/14/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Ride VXn Womens
  • Pros:  none,
  • Cons:  rachet sticks,

Experience:   These bindings are horrible. Don't waste your money. My wife borrowed my sister in laws board for the weekend and it had the vxn's. First off we attempted to unclip the toe binding and the rachet sticks and you almost can't take your foot out. Even when tightening the bindings to the board as tight as can be the angles of the binding slip out so quickly 15 degrees turns into 45 degrees. Dont waste a dime on these bindings

My ride bindings also have super sticky ratchets. Plus, the toe cap slips.

"pretty pleased" 1/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Ride VXn Womens
  • Pros:  comfy, toe caps work like a charm,
  • Cons:  screws that hold the high backs are cheap,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   i've ridden the ride vxns a couple of times now and i have to say they're rather nice. the toe cap straps are a huge improvement over my old binding straps (which were regular over the toe straps). the bindings are pretty reponsive. my deeluxe source boa boots fit in them perfectly. i went to a store prior to ordering them to make sure they would fit though and i suggest doing the same if you're looking to pick up a pair of these babies. one down side is that the screws used to affix the high backs are sort of cheap. they work fine, but i've adjusted my high backs (to be parallel to the back side of the board) about twice now and the screws are already almost completely stripped. that's sort of shoddy for the amount of money you're paying. on the plus side the screws used to fix the binding to the board itself are tip top. and the wedgie footbed that goes over the aluminum frame at the bottom is a nice addition too. all in all i think these bindings are worth the money. you can adjust pretty much every part of the bindings so that they will fit your boots and riding style perfectly. i hope they will last for a good long time and then they will really have been worth it :)
