Sierra Says: You?re not made of money, and Rome knows that. In fact, they know that most people are plain broke, so that?s why they continue to offer the Cheaptrick. But, just because this board is affordable, doesn?t mean it rides like it?s affordable. This park board delivers almost as much as your job at Pizza Hut. Low-budget, high park performance.

Rome Says: We?re not talking about selling dime bags here. We?re talking about selling laminated sticks of fun and making people want to drop off the treadmill and move to flophouse in a resort town to feed the habit. With the Cheaptrick, we deal out a smooth-flexing park machine that steps up as riders want to take what they learn in the park to the natural terrain of the mountain.

TTT Core Matrix- For the guys who like hippie girls. All natural wood core.

StraightBiax Laminate- A biaxle or 90 degree fiberglass weave that is perfect for tricks because it butters, turns easily and will not catch an edge.

  • Pros:  Butters are great, Handles jumps, Handles high speed
  • Cons:  Not very aggressive on turns,

Experience:   This board is great, cheapness for greatness. It's flexible enough to allow high end performance on jibs and when buttering, but it's going to give you enough strength to be able to handle massive kickers and jumps. Handles alright on turns, but not as aggressive as you would want.

"good all around board" 1/10/2012

  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Park,Powder,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  great flex, good control, great price
  • Cons:  a little narrow,

Experience:   The cheaptrick is awesome, I've been riding for 13 years now (mostly back country and park) and I love the cheaptrick for a fun board. It handles really well on jibs and like someone else mentioned after a little breaking in gives you solid pop on the kickers. Really easy to ride switch, easier than any other board I've had. Also I've taken it back country just as much in the park and to my surprise it rides extremely well in the pow...lots of fun.

"Wicked Sick Stick" 10/17/2011

  • Name: Rome Cheaptrick Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Boxes,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  Poppy, Camber (not a rocker dude), Good bang for your buck
  • Cons:  Graphics aren't Really exciting, but sweet enough, I have big feet/bindings: Not uber wide,

Experience:   I work on a local mountain in VA and e-mailed Rome to get a discount on this board, and they hooked me up with almost half off!! This board is wicked nice for the price especially, and does exactly what you want around the park. It's not really flexible when you first get it, but butters up as you ride it more. Living in the east, I don't have a lot of experience with this stick in the pow, but it definitely tears up the park. Other than a few scratches, it's held up well, too.
