Rome Says: Coming from the "first one is free" mentality, the Shift serves up everyday performance for riders just getting hooked on fresh corduroy, well-groomed jumps, 10" of fresh, and the flat box in the park. A moderate flex profile is out-fitted with a heavy array of essentials that Rome puts into every binding: a geometrically correct highback, ConFormist toe strap, highback rotation, and ankle strap positioning. It ain’t free, but it has all the hook you need to get addicted for the rest of your life.

Name: Rome Shift
Pros: good control, comfortable, look great
Cons: broken (made of plastic), bad toe strap,
Flex: mid

Experience: I loved these bindings while they lasted, they fit perfectly, and were very comfortable. They did the job giving me complete control over my board. Th bad things are, when taking a hard fall the toe strap would slide up over the toes and I would have to stop and reset the strap. Also when I jumped over a medium feature, I landed a little heavy on the tip and the binding literally shattered. Bottom line: If it were me Id go straight for something that will last forever, but if your a beginner and not going to be abusing these things too much then these are perfect for you.

Pros: Relatively low price,
Cons: Not best quality,
Flex: mid

Experience: I picked up these bindings and after some time the rubber inserts on the side began to come apart from the glue. I also notice they arn't as responsive as many of the other bindings I have demo'd/own. If your a beginner, they are great.
