  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Great pop, you cannot lose an edge, Fast, great at cutting throu crud, Stable at high speeds
  • Cons:  Not too many!!!, Cant ship internationally!,

Experience:   Just an alround great board, Maybe not for park junkies but for everyone else get this board. Amptek base is just great. Stable at high speeds ad great for powder but give u heaps of pop and air but still really flexy for butters etc. the magnatraction works unbelievable well slices through everything.

"Amazing!" 3/22/2011

  • Name: Rossignol One Magtek Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Good balance of flex, hybrid camber, easy to ride
  • Cons:  could be faster, base seems soft,

Experience:   This is my first year riding and my first non-rental board and I absolutely LOVE IT! It's amazing how much more confidence and skill you get from a good setup. The One Mag has hybrid camber. VERY slight camber between the bindings, and then right at the bindings it begins to rocker out to the tip and the tail. The amptec also gives it a slightly stiffer mid section and a slightly softer tip and tail. It is listed as intermediate to advanced level but I found it very easy to ride compared. It is softer then the Ride Machete. It has amazing edge hold, but the softer tips make it easy to transfer edge to edge. What really amazed me was how it would just lift me up off the jumps without effort. It feels really light as well. I have not tried any rails yet, but I did do some tree runs. After, I noticed a dent in the base from a log so the base seems a little soft. I would not recommend this board for a lot of rails. Also, I rode it with the factory wax, which might be why I though it was a little slow. It was definitely not as fast as my buddy's freshly waxed Burton Custom. But I'm sure a hot was will speed it up. I don't know if I'd spend $450 on this board, but it's definitely worth $350. The Rossignol Angus is simiar minus MagnaTracktion for even less. IT wasn't too icy so I could not fully test the benefits, but I'd rather have it then not. Plus, I dig the graphics on the One MagTec way more then on the Angus! It's got a simple graphic, awesome gold and wood color, most of the top is clear where you can see the wood and carbon stringers through it, and there are reflective/halographic accents in the top that change color in the light, so at certain angles they even match my red Ride SPI bindings! All in all, I would say this is a great board for a beginner to intermediate rider looking for a fun board to tackle most of the mountain from trees to powder to jumps.
