"Salomon." 1/9/2012

  • Name: Salomon Drift Rocker Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Looks sick., Strong., Poppy.

Experience:   Great board! First session today. Don't be fooled, this isn't JUST a park board. I rode it all over the mountain, even found a little powder in the tree lines (east coast) and it floated nicely. Despite the rocker's reputation of not performing well at high speeds, I found this board very stable, quick toe to heel, and the edges dug into everything. I had little to no trouble cutting across ice patches. To my surprise, even the extruded base was fast and I haven't waxed it yet. I was passing everyone up on the flats. I'm still getting used to it but I love it. This board definitely has pop too. It's a little stiffer than I was expecting, but not too stiff for butters and presses. I did alot of research and must've bugged every live chat expert on this site before I decided to go with this board. I considered the youngblood chillydog, skate banana, capita green machine, stairmaster, and some others.. I picked this one because it matched my needs and seemed like the best value for the money. I mean the price is just awesome for all the tech they crammed in it! Very happy with this decision, this board arrived with zero disappointments. Honest.

  • Pros:   ,
  • Cons:  Best flex,

Experience:   The Solman drift rocker is a great board it is very identical to the Burton hero 2011 . Even though it's very flexible. It does great on big Jumps you never washout on it . it's great on Jibs very playful flex so overall it's a great all mountain board :)

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Salomon Drift Rocker Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  flex, sweet design, all around board
  • Cons:  high speed,

Experience:   this board is a great board to ride around on its flexi enough for awesome butters and press tricks and stiff enough for jumps and rails not to great for high speed turns as with most rocker boards but can easily cruz the mountain at slower speeds. i love this board its my favorite of the collection got mine for 185 would do it again in a heartbeat

"Great for Beginners " 11/26/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Salomon Drift Rocker Snowboard
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  Graphics, Flex, Side-cut

Experience:   I am only a beginner and it was fantastic! The equalizer side-cut is really good cause it holds an edge well. I found the flex really good for me because i could press it but i also got good pop. i would recommend this board to any beginner looking to get into snowboarding.

"Great!" 7/25/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Salomon Drift Rocker Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  stable, pressable, fun!

Experience:   This was one of the first boards i have been on that felt like i had been riding it forever. I loved it! It was stable, poppy, yet soft enough to press everywhere. A great park ride for sure. The rubber sidewalls also took some of the bumps out of the ride, making it pretty damp.

"Awesome Jib/park board" 7/24/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Salomon Drift Rocker Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Light weight , Flexy, cheap

Experience:   I was going to either go with the stairmaster or this for my next board, i choose the stairmaster because this board is more for jibbing and is softer. Great for the whole mountain too, but centered for park. overall, if your thinking about buying the salomon drift, go for it, you wont be disappointed.

  • Cons:  none, none , graphic on top should've been like the mini drift

Experience:   I demo'd this board at high cascade this past summer and loved it i thought i was because i was going from a cambered board to a rocker but it wasnt i tried many other boards (camber and rocker)and i liked this board the best out of all of them i HIGHLY RECOMEND IT it has amazing pop yet its soft and very easy to press. it holds up at highspeeds and is fine handleing large 40ft-60ft park jumps

"Was good while it lasted" 2/18/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Salomon Drift Rocker Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Lots of Pop, pretty stable at speed, Nice colors/graphics

Experience:   This was my first go at anything other than a camber board. I'm an East Coast rider so the equalizer sidewall convinced me to try this rocker board in 154 size. I had no issues with catching edges at all, and the board was surprising stable going fast on the groomers (though not as stable as my 160 camber board). This board got me through the moguls with ease, but since I'm still progressing, I cannot comment on its park performance. It does have alot of pop and I could nollie alot higher than before. I couldn't find any real good powder, but I didn't take any nose dives in what I did find. This board gets 4 stars from me because after one day of riding I noticed the topsheet was delaminating on both sides of the tail. I guess I got a bad one. I would have liked to keep the board, but I exchanged it for something else since the store I purchased it from was out of them.
