Sierra Says: As the front-runner of Salomon’s G.I.F.T. project, the Sick Stick is a high-performance and eco-friendly snowboard for the guys who want to transfer their freestyle performance into the backcountry. With a tapered twin shape you can float through the powder when riding in either direction on this board, and the Popster core profile and Bamboo induced topsheet increases the snap and energy return your board has for you to launch bigger off cliffs or cornices and maneuver faster through the trees with no hang-ups. Above all, this board is torsionally stiff and has a very fast base so you can charge down the hill fast and under control any day. We recommend this board to the experienced intermediate to advanced level rider that loves to do tricks and loves the powder. It is a 2-for-1 with this board. Pros: Stability - Groomers, bumps , etc, Carves well and Floats, Bamboo
Cons: Shaka Khan - But She's Awesome too!, Only for the Rippers,

Experience: I was blessed to receive a 163 as a gift in Nov 2010. I ride California(Kirkwood) powder steeps and trees, but enjoy the occasional high speed groomer. This board has an Awesome design. It has almost no camber in the middle and reverse camber in the nose and tail(Salomon's RLNK -Rediculously Long Nose Kick). It floats with ease, bombs down the steeps, and blasts through the trees. Chop, crud, and/or moguls, no problem. This board will charge through, around, and over these, all while keeping you in the pocket. The bamboo allows you to land jumps without all of the recoil that you experience with other boards. Warning: Tru Rippers Only! It may be stable and easy to turn, but this board an't no punk. It accelerates like a Ferrari in the Pow, so be on top of your game. My advice: step up to this board and you will experience one the best rides of your life!
