Sierra Says: Ti says it all, light, strong and stiff. What else do you need in a binding? With a titanium construction the Z12 Ti is laterally stiff for great reaction time and precise handling.

Salomon Says: Perfect combination of high-performance / light materials & sleek design.

  • Name: Salomon Z12 Ti
  • Pros:  Light, Sturdy, Cheap

Experience:   Really very great bindings! I can really recommend these to anyone... They're cheap (relatively), sturdy and I really like the design. Very good binding. No diagonal release, just awesome!

  • Name: Salomon Z12 Ti
  • Pros:  Very Light, Fairly cheap, Sturdy
  • Cons:  No diagonal release,

Experience:   These are an excellent binding for any twin tip ski. They are very light, great for tricks, but are still sturdy enough to take hits.

"great bindings without breaking the bank" 6/7/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Salomon Z12 Ti
  • Pros:  easy in, adjustable,
  • Cons:  none that I can think,

Experience:   I spend most of the time snowboarding, however I like going back to ski once in a while. I did not want to spend too much on my ski equipment, but I did not want to break a leg either. This binding was the perfect compromise. You can expect all the well known Salomon quality and you can adjust the strength you need for the biding to open (OK all the bindings have this in theory but in the cheap ones the regulation does not work very well). You want to set the bindings at a higher weight that you really have if you are racing; you want to set the bindings at a lower weight if you are a beginner, or you just like to take things easy. Now if you want to ski fast do not leave the bindings below your weight. Last time I did that I ended up landing on my head after losing a ski in a turn. Not very nice Overall great bindings do the work, will last forever if you take proper care, and you can adjust to your level or taste and the adjustment is going to work properly, strongly recommend

  • Name: Salomon Z12 Ti
  • Pros:  Light, Cheap, Good Quailty
  • Cons:  Need to crank that DIN all the way up ,

Experience:   Great budget binding excellent all rounder, although unless you crank the DIN all the way up don't expect your skiis to stay on

"great binding!" 4/20/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Salomon Z12 Ti
  • Pros:  light!,

Experience:   Before using the Z12 Ti I used the 912 Ti and was more than happy to get my hands on what is arguably the lightest binding on the market. These bindings are durable and work great for me. DIN set to 8 and gives me enough lateral play to not pop out when I don't want to. Basically just works.

"Okay Bindings" 4/7/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Salomon Z12 Ti
  • Pros:  Responsive,
  • Cons:  Loose,

Experience:   My first time skiing with these bindings, I had a few crashes. The crashes left the front of my bindings a little loose. This may not be an issue for people who don't fall, but I'd like my bindings to stay stable even if I do give them a little wear and tear.
